Well, thank you for all the support from this thread! I ended up purchasing a Schwinn Hybrid bike today!! I am so excited. It was reasonable in price, and is a wonderful change to the single speed old fashioned brakes on my comfort bike. I knew if I wanted to push myself in the near future to go farther and longer, my other bike would not do the trick. My husband is adjusting all of it for me and hoping the rain holds off so I can get some riding in this evening. He is actually thinking about getting him one similar to mine. It is totally amazing how we have become more active and are moving, AND HOW GOOD WE FEEL!!!!!!! Just wanted to share!!!!

well, I got my new bike today!!! I ended up with a Schwinn Hybrid bike. It was at a reasonable price, and allot better to ride than my single speed old fashioned brakes in my comfort bike. I am so excited. My husband is going to see how much I like mine, and maybe get him one as well. We are doing so much more than we ever did, and we are having a good time. It is un-real that loosing weight and exercising could be so uplifting. Thanks everyone for the support in choosing a bike......

Well, either walk outside until it is just too cold, or join the gym in town. I liked going there, and maybe by than, the machines will be eaiser with some of my weight off, and I would like to tone over the winter.... key is staying motivated...for sure!!!!

the land riders are quite pricey....not sure ii I can afford one, but heck, if I am not eating as much I should have plenty of money right?? LOL I like riding and at least there is a breeze..I have been walking at work during lunch and am pulling a huge hill.....i am usually drenched by the time I get back....at least if I was riding there would be "some" wind....I will say, I wasnt doing this at all 2 months ago

Hi, Mine is tommorow, and I, like you have had not much of a restriction either...I hope it gets easier for you...I am anxious to see how mine goes...did it hurt??? How much have you lost since surgery? I keep fluctating, but I KNOW it is my portions...they are like they use to be...I started at 322, than week before was 313.6...I am jumping back and forth between 291-297??? What the heck is up with that??? I started exercising last week, and have walked 8 miles so far this week. It is hot and humid and I am walking at lunch...I just want to see some changes already!!!!!! Oh well......best of luck....keep me posted how you are doing. -

Is there weight loss medicines the doctor can perscrib for you
hoosierpoms replied to mommy2kyler's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi I use Bontril that the doct. prescribes, and have had no bad side effects...but allot more energy. It is only 28 a month -
Hello everyone... I am going this week for my first fill and am ready!!! The start of last week I thought I would eat anything in site....but I started back exercsing and it has gotten better towards the latter part. One thing I find interesting is how much food they give you at resturants. Man...... we ate at Garfields friday, and I ended up bringing home half of what they brought me...I knew I couldnt and shouldnt eat the whole plate..before I would of licked my plate...LOL Hope everyone else is doing well..... You guys should look into joining the July exercise challenge from the May list....
-
i would defiantly be interested in the challenge. I was banded the 30th of May and this last week just got back to exercising. I biked all last weekend while camping, I walked 2 nights for 2 miles uphill, (good ole country roads) an mowed my 5 acre yard half of it with a push mower instead of the rider. If we dont move we are not going to loose as quickly. Mine is finding the time and with the weather cooperating. Planned on walking this morning and it stormed rather bad ...so hoping tonight we can get it in. Count me in on this.....

First of all can you beleive they actually want you to consume that much fat with each meal?????? When I was on the diabetic association diet, we were allowed 3 exchanges of fat PER DAY. My oldest daughter has a weight issue as well, and started this week on this drug. I personally think it should not be allowed to be sold over the counter, because young people and old alike may have other issues affecting them that is going to affect there health. I am on Bontril which is what I was on before, and it is helping me prior to getting my first fill, and my doctor said it was ok...
