Im thinking of getting the sleeve and im scared! =(
soldierzgirl36 replied to andre's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Andre, I ahve heard nothing but good things about the sleeve. There aren't any negative side effects that I have heard from the sleeve procedure. I researched alot before I made my decision to proceed with the sleeve procedure. Good luck. Soldiersgirl36 -

I am sorry this happened. I love soda too. I hate the idea that I have to give it up.. I just hope after surgery it wont be as bad as I thought. Good luck, the nutritionist is being a bit harsh, however you cant have it afterward so, maybe she is just concerned that you will sneak and try it and do damage to your sleeve or something -
Honestly thinking this through

This will be money well spent. Dont listen to others and they arent living inside your body. This will be a wonderful tool and a blessing to just be able to workout and not be hungry all the time:) -
Being told I will fail with VSG
soldierzgirl36 replied to hcwiu's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
What I always wondered is if that the hormone that causes hunger is removed, then how can someone gain it all back? My mother in law had gastric bypass and lost 100 lbs and now is larger than in the beginning.. However, I never thought to ask her what is the real reason why it came back. If the hormone is gone, how is it possible to tollerate anything too much going down, ya know? And she never worked out much, only walked a bit, so im sure thats a reason. Do worry, it should go fine for u as long as u work out:) -

Tell them you got strep..lol That always keeps peeps away. Sorry you have to feel like you gotta lie about it. I had a few of mine that were negitivee and I told them it isnt their body, so no need to give me any negitive comments or I would have to 86 them out of my life... -

Hey, Im military wife and I saw phsyc before seeing the surgeon. My physc is in 2 weeks and then surgeon next. Went thru nutrition, both classes for that, then stress management, then goal settings, and occupational therapy. Now the physc appt then surgeon. Now for a few patients that are on alot of meds, they have to see a pharm tech, and get a pre op surgery consult appt also but I didnt have to do that.Hope all goes well for ya!
