I'm a 43 year old female who became overweight at age 29 due to long term use of Prednisone. The Prednisone was prescribed for Lupus and it did help with the Lupus symptoms but packed on the pounds and totally messed up my metabolism and made me very HUNGRY! I was sick and tired of being fat, so I looked into WLS and decided that the Sleeve was the best option for me. I had surgery on 1/4/2011 and have lost 22 pounds so far. I am sick of the liquid diet and have one more week of liquids before I can move on to mushy foods. But this has been the best decision of my life.
