I have always been a bit on the chucky size but didn't become obese until after I got married in 2002.  My lowest adult weight was around 165 which I maintained for about 2 years.  I went back up to about 190 for another year or so but finally ballooned up to 300 pounds within a one year time period (not sure what happened there : )  Anyway, I finally decided to take action and I had lap band done in Mar 2008.  I lost 50 pounds over the first year. 
 
Eventually I was able to get down 100 pounds and maintained that weight loss until my band slipped in Aug 2011.  I was a cash patient and had to save the money to have the band removed.  I ended up going to Dr. Ortiz at OCC in Mexico (best medical decision I have ever made).  I had the band removed in March 2014 and weight around 250 at that point.  I put on another 60 pounds over the next year and decided to do a gastric sleeve procedure on 6/1/15.  My husband decided to join me in my quest to get healthy and we did the surgery on the same date (again in Mexico with Dr. Ortiz). 
 
We are one month post surgery and I have lost 15 pounds.  Hubby has lost about 25.  I actually lost that 15 in the first two weeks.  I then went back up two pounds and finally got back to the 15 pound mark over the last week.  I was really hoping for more in this first month.  I know I have to think long term but it has been a little frustrating.  I am keeping track of all my food, water, and nutrient intake so I know my calories are in check.  Hoping for more progress in July : )
