I am just starting the process so I am reading everything I can right now. I am a firefighter/ paramedic from southern Indiana. I have a great wife and 3 kids, 4, 5 ,and 15. A friend of mine from Seattle had the sleeve done in June and is doing very well. Since I am diabetic my doctor did not want me to have lap band, which i though was my first choice. I am 5' 7 250 lbs, BMI is 39.1. I think im like a lot of the people on here, people look at me and say you dont look big enough to have surgery. I have first meeting with the doctors this weekend. Im really excited.
