Maybe it would be easier for me to see the humor in all of this if there weren't so many children involved who are obviously growing up with irresponsible parents. What a life for them. Any satisfaction I got from doing well after not being expected to would be overshadowed by extreme pity and concern for the little ones.
-
Sounds as if you are really fortunate for the support you got from your parents while you were growing up. Lucky you! That makes all the difference in the world and so many kids don't have that.
-
You don't need to deal with this crap ever. Believe me, if you wait to leave later, it will only get harder. You quite possibly will have kids and be so financially intertwined that it will be that much more a hassle to leave. If things don't change, do it now while it's the least difficult (it still won't be easy) it will be in your life with him. Also, I don't take divorce lightly by any means but given these circumstances, which is his inability to put you first, there's not really another option.

I agree with Lauren and Faith. It's been my experience that situations like this only get worse. You SHOULD be the Number One Priority in you husband's life...period. Given these circumstances, even more so since his sister is behaving in a way that jeopardizes your home for goodness sakes. I'd go to my parents' house and play it by ear and see if he becomes aware of the error in his ways. Quite seriously, I doubt he does. Hang in there and stand by your decision if you choose to leave to save yourself the heartaches of going back and forth. Take care..and no, you are definitely not acting like a bitch!

I would be anything but assured too and on top of that, I think she was extremely RUDE!!!
-
Sue, I'm so sorry about your little dog. I've adopted dozens of dogs and cats in the past thirty years and every time we lose one, my husband and I cry like a baby. It's awful and so unfair. Hang in there and post away if it makes you feel even the least bit better. Take care. I'll be thinking of you and your little guy. There's so many of us here who care. Remember that.

Nah..it's nothing that deep for me. I've done it since I was a little kid in lieu of paying attention when I should be. I've sat in college classes while an instructor was lecturing, doodling the entire time on sheet after sheet of paper, and walked out not being able to tell you one thing he said.

I like honesty and humility. I like loyalty and sense of humor--especially people who can laugh at themselves and do it regularly. I like people who refuse to be a victim no matter what their circumstances may be. I like people who are direct and hard working. I'm sure I could think of more...

When I'm sitting still (like in a classroom setting or a meeting) and have a pen and paper, I doodle all over it. I cannot have a blank part of the page left. I normally draw flowers which look funky because I'm no artist...Also, when out in public I have a fear of not having enough lip color on because I'm so pale...so I'm constantly reapplying lip gloss, lipstick whatever..the invention of the lip stuff that stays on for hours has been a godsend to me!!!!!!!!!!!

I am curious regarding your opinions regarding the work of psychics. I'm particularly referring to those who are overwhelmingly popular-Sylvia Browne, James Van Prague, John Edwards, etc... Obviously, there's an extremely large population who do believe since these people make a very lucrative living from what they do...or say they can do. Personally, I think the likes of Sylvia Browne are not only frauds but dangerous - primarily, because she is regularly giving medical diagnoses to peoples' different ailments on the Montel Williams Show. What's your take on these people?
-
I agree re: the lottery numbers! It's experiences like yours that are just so strange...and, you're right, they cannot be explained. What do you think of the Edward guy..picking dead people out related to people in the audience? I've watched him..granted not that much..like I said these people and their followers fascinate me..but I could do what he does...
-
I've intermittently watched Sylvia Browne for years because she intrigues me. How she has made such a huge amount of money doing what she does interests me. She does give people diagnoses to their illnesses. She's done it from day one. She tells them they have all kinds of maladies. If I had a dime for everyone she's told has fibromyalgia I'd be rich. Heck, they specifically ask her and I've never heard her say she didn't know. Yes, she also does what you say-- tells people they might get this or that checked. I agree. She's one of the better t.v. psychics..she makes millions of dollars doing what she does. Interesting about the phone thing..I always wondered how that worked. Do they get paid by how long they keep people on the phone after the free minutes are up...? For instance, do they get paid more for keeping someone on for ten minutes than they do for five?

I'm curious what half of you is Catholic, as you stated in your original post?

Katerzz, I agree with everything you say here; I do get my fills from Laurie and have never had any problem with doing that. She's always listened and given me what I felt I needed. I'm at 2.8 right now and that seems to be working really well at this point. I have ordered and still drink the protein mix we had for the pre-op diet. I order the vanilla and mix all kinds of nonfatty things with it like different syrups, etc. Sometimes I even put a banana in it and that's my breakfast. I'm with you especially about the protein. If I get enough protein I am NOT hungry in between meals and at night which was my real downfall preband. It's AMAZING to me how easily cookies, etc. go down!! Good reason for me just to stay away from them. You have done fabulously in your weight loss! Way to go! What an INSPIRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

-
Jacqui, What specifically did you do to work on your stomach or is it primarily from your cardio?
