How Many Calories Do You Consume On An AVERAGE Day?
uniqueone replied to WASaBubbleButt's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
No kidding!!! I was amazed before I had the surgery how many calories I was consuming in one day. I had no idea until I started writing everything down. I'm surprised I don't weigh more than I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hungry: -
I take Wellbutrin and Lexapro....same here..no problems!! Chimboree, congrats on your upcoming surgery date. You won't regret getting it done! It's been a godsend for me.
-
Amber, I take two antidepressants and medication for mania. I have bipolar 1 disorder. This had absolutely nothing to do with my taking the psych eval or anything else. You might have to find out about crushing your meds if you can't get them down. I've had no problem with that, however. Anyway, don't worry. I think it will go fine for you!! Hope this eases your mind a bit. Keep us posted on how your preliminary requirements for the surgery are progressing!!

Medifast Shakes, etc. - NEED ADVICE
uniqueone replied to mylapspirit's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'd look around for something else. Medifast products are way expensive and most are not that tasty...at all...ESPECIALLY that oatmeal. YUK!!!!!!!! -
My surgery date is Monday.yeahhhhhhhhhh
uniqueone replied to 2bhealthy2's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Everybody is different. I had very mild gas pains and they only lasted a few hours. Maybe you'll be like that too!!! -
I also was banded on the 2nd (FINALLY!!). I felt/feel the exact same way you do. I'd take the extra day just to build up some energy. I don't know about you but I am wiped out!!!! I was nauseated BIG TIME when I woke up from the anesthesia but, luckily, that has subsided. Hang in, take the time off and keep in touch!!!!!!!!!!

Great (and even medicore) accessorizers - need your input
uniqueone replied to Wheetsin's topic in The Lounge
The dress is gorgeous. I'd go with no necklace, yes to some earrings... if you go dangled, make them not flashy..flashy ones will draw attention to the ears and hey, that dress deserves it more!! Your gold hoops sound good to me. I'd wear a bracelet only if it didn't bug me. Those shoes are gorgeous, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
NimbleBean, Thanks so much for the chart! How thoughtful.

WasaBubble Butt is terrific!! I sent her a bunch of questions regarding my upcoming surgery and she sent me answers back w/in minutes and made me feel good about being nervous to boot!!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: -
Thanks for the info regarding right after your surgery. I'm scheduled for next Wed and am nervous. I didn't think I would be but the closer it gets, the more I am! Keep us posted on your progress!

Darling Little Boy and I'm So Glad He's Okay!!!! My daughter when she was one and a half ate my African Violet that was on my coffee table. I was scared to death and called Poison Control ASAP and the guy who answered the phone said she could munch on the leaves till hell froze over! Thank Goodness! Thanks for sharing your experience! It was something that could have happened to anyone.

Let's see... My digital camera, my computer/photo printer, any Philosophy bath and skin care products, on-line college classes, my Humane Society adopted "kids", different flavored coffees and teas and books and books and books of ANY type. Carlene, my daughter and her husband have that same coffee machine from Starbucks and they use it all the time. I want one now!!! Sallie

Kerry, The same thing happened to me! I had to lose the ten and didn't. I had to have my surgery postponed and I was so disappointed! Just think about that maybe...the longer it takes to lose the ten the longer it will take to get the tool that will help you lose it all. Try to get in that excitement mode now instead of after youi take the 10 off. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Sallie Surgery was scheduled for April 10, Now scheduled for May 2.

Yeah, NV Girl, I am kinda nervous but more so excited!! I am doing well on the liquid diet, how about you? In a way, I don't think it's totally sunk in yet. Does that make sense? I started the whole process back in November and it's been one step at a time as you know. Let me know if you have experienced that at all. Also, let me know how YOU are doing!
-
NV GIRL! Well, I've heard a lot of bad stuff about it, but, I like it!!! I mean it's just as good if not better than other stuff I've had like Slimfast, Medifast, etc. If you get the vanilla you can put cinnamon and butter buds in it and it tastes like cinnamon rolls..almost. I also put instant coffee in the chocolate sometimes. All of those people at that center are wonderful. I can't believe anyplace could be any better. Not only are they really, really nice people but they all know what they're doing. We are LUCKY women!!!
-
NV Girl, I'm the one who has Dr. Watson from the same center as yours. I enjoyed the pre-op class they gave. You'll get good, useful information and prescriptions for nausea and pain. I also liked the web site they gave us to use. I'm scheduling my lab work needed for the surgery on Monday for next week sometime and my surgery is on the 2nd! I'm excited too. :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: It makes the liquid diet all worth it.
