I'm thinking it has to be water weight as well. I don't see how else you could have gained 3 in 2. Don't sweat it! It will come off plus some. Good luck!

HollyW replied to My New Life's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
You are so very positive! I am one of those that weighs every day. I am 7 weeks post op today though. It doesn't move every day and I am ok with that. Good luck to you! -
Digital scale or manual ??
HollyW replied to valsdetermined2lose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a digital scale. Mine is all fancy with BMI and all but still digital. I've always noticied a difference between digital and manual. Since almost all doctor offices are digital that is why I choose digital. -
I cannot find the 6-8oz bottles of Isopure and I cannot stand the 20oz bottles. The smaller ones are much more tolerable to me.

Ok so I had my sleeve 12/6/10 and I have lost 25 pounds since November 29th. I am able to work out at 4 weeks post op and I have been looking into gyms. I have read through other topics on here that cardio is going to be the best thing to do to help with the weight loss. I have never been one to exercise and I have no idea what to do. Do I join a gym? What equipment do I use? I have also looked into my local recreation center and they offer a Zumba class 2 nights a week for 1 hour. Can I do that when the new class starts Jan. 3rd or should I wait a little longer? I don't know how strenous Zumba is, I just hear how much fun and what a great workout it is. I want to exercise and I want to lose weight. I have never been so motivated but I am just not sure what direction to go. I do have the Wii Fit Plus but I don't know if that would be enough. I can't do the Yoga stuff on there, LOL. It is way too much for me. Can anyone help steer me in the right direction?

=( scared of having my sleeve gastrectomy! =(

I also agree with Tiff. You should see a doctor and just do a medically supervised diet plan. You don't have that much to lose. It would not be worth it to do that to your body for just 30 or so pounds! Good luck. -
I got approved today from Cigna :-)

I get on my Wii Fit Plus everyday. Love it. I always do my body tests and my favorite is the step exercises. There is plenty to do on their that is fun. Good luck!

I have been putting off exercise but I know that I will not lose the weight without exercise as well. I am joining a gym today and signing up for a Zumba class that starts in Feb. I have always been afraid of what others think of me and now I really don't care. I am doing this for me not them! Good luck to us all!!!

I'm curious for the different ages on here
HollyW replied to jamie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery on December 6, 2010 at the age of 34. -
I bought a scale at WalMart that records your weight, goal weight and BMI. It tells me everyday how much I have gained and or lost and how much more I have to lose to get to my goal weight. It records up to 4 users. I love it. It cost under $20.

Question for the Ladies?
HollyW replied to MommyTawnie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was a full D cup and I am just 5 weeks post op and my breasts are starting to look flat. I have no volume, no nothing. I told my husband before surgery that I wanted a tummy tuck and boob job after I lose all my weight. He agreed so at least I know I won't have to put up with sagging boobs forever. I LIKE having boobs and it is important to me for them to be in place and not at my knees! lol -
Congrats to you!!!!! You should be so very proud of yourself. Keep up the good work.

Smoothie... ok for full liquids, or more mushies?
HollyW replied to FuriosMommy's topic in Liquids (stage 1)
I was told I could have bananas at 4 weeks post op during the mushy stage. It is all up to the surgeon though. -
The first 2 weeks after surgery I was on liquids only then the next 2 weeks were creamy soups and yogurt. I just started mushy foods like Cream of Wheat and anything I can mash a fork through. Your able to eat things sooner than I was. I will be 5 weeks out Monday. Just stick with it and no it is only a temporary thing! Good luck.
