The only doctors I know of that do in-house financing is Dr. Rodriguez in Juarez and Dr. Garcia. Dr. Kelly does not do in house financing. My mom is finally ready to have her surgery. She did in house financing with Dr. Garcia. They are changing companies that provide the servicing and they said there is a delay in the paperwork but he still offers it. Just call back and ask for Julie. She is the person that does the finance work or is in that department. Good luck on your surgery! Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

I think Obesity Control Center charges too much for surgery in a small clinic. For the same price you can go to Dr. Aceves in Mexicali. That is a full service hospital and it is also Joint Commission Accredited. That accreditation is a VERY high distinction!

I hate to burst your bubble yecats, but Dr. Kelly is not certified in the U.S. If he is saying that, it’s a lie. If you blindly don’t believe the coordinator it also makes no sense to blindly believe what he has to say. If they did in fact part ways because of their own differences, he will say the exact opposite, don’t you think? Call a third party instead. Someone that has nothing to gain either way. I was very mad when I heard about the things that were being said about Dr. Kelly. I believed he was a great surgeon and my sister and cousin, who had their surgery with him, also believed that. A Lighter Me was insinuating that there was a problem with Dr. Kelly regarding safety but did not elaborate. So I decided to look into these allegations myself so I could prove them wrong. I was shocked by what I found! Besides doing surgery at florence, there are 3 other hospitals that I found where Dr. Kelly has performed surgery. I called all 3 of them. I called INT Hospital (01152-664-634-7408) and they told me that in no way is Dr. Kelly allowed to perform surgery in their hospital. They would not tell me why. I called Angeles Hospital (01152-664-635-1800). They also said that Dr. Kelly cannot perform surgeries there. Then I called Mi Doctor Hospital (800-969-1654 / they have a U.S. 800 number). I spoke directly to Dr. Tepperman who told me that he owns the hospital. He also said that Dr. Kelly is not welcome in his hospital any longer! I spoke to the person that was at Florence Hospital with her daughter that had surgery with Dr. Kelly when that patient died back in June. She said when they went looking for Debbie, Dr. Kelly told them that she had a complication and was transported to another hospital from Florence. He didn’t tell them what hospital. Then they said he finally admitted that she died in surgery. He told them she had a pulmonary embolism. Trish later came in and told them that the patient went into shock and had bled to death. The woman called Debbie’s family when she returned home and they told her that Debbie died after bleeding to death from a nicked artery. I don’t know much about pulmonary embolisms but I thought that if that happened it would take a little while. Doesn’t a blood clot have to form, then break off and travel to the lungs? How can that happen immediately while the patient is on the table? I checked this site and cannot find Dr. Kelly’s license. http://www.cedulapro...Avanzada.action I also researched A Lighter Me and found that they have been in business for 7 years and they are members of the BBB with no complaints. I don’t know if that means they completely tell the truth, but I just thought I would mention this because I looked into it. I don’t know if anyone will find the full truth. Several people didn’t want to give me details, but I am not going to recommend Dr. Kelly anymore since I have found these things. Just curious, who told you the Mi Doctor does not have an ICU? We were just there a couple of weeks ago and it is a small hospital but they do have an ICU on the 2nd floor. We asked specifically and also asked to see it.

Mi Doctor hospital is less than 2 years old. Because my sister had her surgery at Florence and my cousin at Mi Doctor, I was able to visit both hospitals. My cousin did have her leak test at Mi Doctor and my sister at Angeles. This is just my opinion, but compared to Florence I liked Mi Doctor better.

I’ve seen both Mi Doctor and Florence. My sister had surgery at Florence and my cousin at Mi Doctor. Mi Doctor is hands down MUCH nicer than Florence/Oasis. Florence is quite old and my sisters room was not very clean. She also was not able to have her leak test done there. They took her to another hospital for that. I think that Florence just rents a floor from Oasis so they can’t use the entire hospital. If you can choose which hospital to have your surgery, my advice is to go to Mi Doctor.

My sister used her FSA card through Linda at a lighter me. jn26845 is correct they can run your card. We looked long and hard and Linda was the only one that I could find that ran the card without any problems. We also tried be light weight and it was a no go. I don’t know about a law that says FSA can or cannot accept an international transaction. I do know that when Linda ran the card it was not an international transaction but was coded properly used for a medical transaction. Good luck!

In order to use your FSA card, it has to be run by a company that has a merchant account coded for FSA. We paid with flex through Linda because they have a merchant account that can accept that card. I heard of other people using the same doctor, but could not pay with FSA so you need to ask your coordinator specifically if they can accept your FSA card.

Dr. Kelly is great! He does have a coordinator. Most of the doctors do have them. I just came back from a visit with him. A Lighter Me are still his coordinators and the on site coordinater is Sara. She is very sweet! Trish no longer works with Dr. Kelly. Sara is very nice and takes care of everything while you are in the hospital and the hotel. Of course Dr. Kelly is in charge of your care but Sara is a great friend and a great help! We were very satisfied with Dr. Kelly!
