It's been a long time since I have posted here. I am almost 2 years out (May). 50#'s down and I feel GREAT. The compliments make me smile on a daily bases. It is totally awesome when a young man tells you after seeing an old and new drivers license that "Dang you got better looking the older you got!" I'll take my slow loss any day! This post struck me and I feel if we take a look at where our brains are with our weight loss we are 10 times happier. Slow is great the skin, the mind, our behavior have time to catch up with each other. Don't rush the loss!

Oh and Kellys last name was Murrell now it is Albertson......haven't talked to her in years. She lives up 49 somewheres now I think before Conroe or somewhere in that vacinity..... So Kelly you had your band in 2003 How has your journey been... Melissa

Actually the company I work for has it and they are big on self improvement......They are pretty expensive from my understanding....I do know that the chain of Max Muscles (that's where I get my Protein drinks from) has one in their stores....They are really neat you can tell when you have exercised or if your drinking your fluids. Thanks for the encouragement I really appreciate it........ Melissa

Okay just found this post......slow reader hahaha......This is good cause I need a challenge at exercise.....Have been riding my son's bike and want to get my own now....I seem to like it better than walking.. I also bought the firm and those chicks are tough....I usually eat raisin bran in the morning to help out on the other end if you know what i mean......drank my Apple Melon Protein drink and then for lunch a small Wendy's Chilli and for supper went out to eat Mexican and had a shrimp with melted cheese black olives and tomatoes in a flour tortilla (don't know what it is called) sort of like a fahita but with the melted cheese.........and yes I ate the chips and salsa........Today has started the same pretty much....... This has been a very helpful post.....I too have had this golf ball feeling. It pops up when it wants, most of the time it is from not paying attention to what i am doing....EATING.....eating to fast, dried food, drinking unconcouisly, then it is to late. My understanding of the band for losing was that it will be a lot slower than RNY that was a major reason for me because I want my skin to slowly change also.....I was banded 05-03-04 Baton Rouge by Dr. Bellanger 219/190 now. I am down only 29, more to come but it is also giving my brain the time to ajust to the new me that is coming.......I finally found some support to...I did not get it from where I had my surgery they are still stuck on the RNY....went to a meeting and never went back told my husband there was nothing but a bunch of pissed off fat women there (i can say that I am Fat and a woman) but I am determined to change that and not use it as a crutch......Candy Hang in there hun don't blame the band yet you've lost just give your esophogus and stoma a rest for a few days and try what you ate another time you just not tolerating it yet......scrambled eggs for me still........and that was the first thing solid they told me to eat.....Good luck on your journey....Just curious how much protein are you drinking a day......
