  1. 1 years have passed since you registered at VerticalSleeveTalk! Happy 1st Anniversary Calley!

  2. Hi, Lisa I know you are having surgery today, I hope all goes well. I had my plication procedure with Dr. Rodriguez on 11/8 and have lost 16 lbs. in 2 weeks (YEAH for ME!!!).I'm very pleased with the surgery and recovery and could not have had a better hospital experience. The hospital in Juarez is very nice!! I work in a hospital and have been in many differnt hospitals and it would be difficult to do better than the one in Mexico. All the staff seemed very competent in thier postions, on the occasion of a language barrier there was always someone there who could address your questions or needs.I enjoyed trying to use the language chart they gave us.

    IT'S MY TURN!!!!

Good Luck Lisa, We will save a spot on the looseres bench for you. I hope your surgery goes as well as mine did. I'm very happy with my decision.
  4. Moni, Just hang there girl, this too shall pass. sorry for your pain and discomfort, probably is the hernia repair. take a few slow deep breaths and try as hard as it may be to stay hydrated, I know its easy cominin from someone who is not in pain at the moment. I know in a short time you will look back and say it was worth every bit of discomfort for the new and improved U. I will have my sleeve in early Nov.; I do not expect it to be without some pain or discomfort. But to be rid of some of the physical and emotional pain from being obese most of life is a worthy goal. Hope you feel better soon Calley
  5. I am not offened and agree that if it is only 40 lbs you need to lose one should consider other options. I started my serious weight loss jounrney at 100lbs over and have managed to loose 30lbs over the last year and have yo-yoed with 15 of those 30lbs (an aggrevating thing in itself :mad0:). My ht is 5'2" and current weight 190. I have discussed this with both my primary care physician and cardiologist and have gotten a :wink0:. PS I am not a spring chicken anymore!
  6. Don't be afraid, I know you'll be fine. I am heading to Juarez myself (alone) on Nov 8th. I'm not afraid at all. My BMI is 34.4, I find it difficult to believe that one day soon I will not be referred to as the one with the pretty face, don't ya just hate that.:huh0: I had a friend tell me that she thinks that the Hospitals there pay off the drug cartells and no one bothers the hospital patients. I am looking forward to my pre-op diet, because that means the day is getting closer . Hope all goes well.

    Any Novembers yet?

Hi Ms Lisa, I have 70 more pounds to lose, I am happy to have a place you can discuss your weight issues with individuals that have walked that path too. I have been able to lose 15lbs, and keep it off 6 months but then I got stuck and I am fighting to keep it off. Thanks for your reply :scared0: it's nice to have a place like this for support and informatiom.
