Juicy.. the same thing happened to me. It felt like a ball was in there with the pain. Im 6 weeks out now and the pain is gone and so is the little ball. My husband force fed me protein shakes cuz the dr said it would help me heal sooner. Im able to bend right over and tie my own shoes now... Im a side sleeper so it was painful to sleep on my side for awhile also. Just keep on keeping on... Its gonna get better and easier

Im not sure who your surgeon was but I went with Dr Nicholson at Baylor Plano. He and his staff were awesome. They always returned calls and every appt I see my surgeon and the PA. I would make sure next time to tell them to just stop and listen as you have questions and concerns... Hope it gets better. There is a support group every 2nd Wed at Baylor Plano on the 1st floor and its very informative. There are discussions on food, excercise, depression and so on. There is even a clothing exchange where you can bring things you have outgrown to donate to someone who may neeed to move a size down. The meetings start at 6:30.

OK so I was sleeved on 9-13. I have been able to tolerate everything I have tried.. cheese, raisins, beef jerky.. This morning I had some activia and my stomach is a mess. Anyone care to help me out? Has this happened to you?

OMG I had not considered the sweet factor. That makes sense it was French Vanilla and was sweet but not like super sweet. But given that I have not had any sweets since August that could be it. THANKS!!!! Ill stop dwelling on it now -
I feel for your situation. While I didnt have extensive surgeries like you I ended up getting bhroncitus the week after surgery and the coughing was enough to bring me to tears I could feel pain in every incision. I did lots of damage to my muscles in my stomach and ended up having to take and extra week off. All I could say to get through it was "This to shall pass" Im about a month out now and feeling good. Glad to hear you have the desire to get around and be successful instead of just getting a why me additude. Keep you head up!!!!

I drink the isopure drinks. (not the powdered shake) they actually sell a protein drink in glass bottles that taste like Kool aid with a little after taste. They are 40 Grams of Protein and NO CARBS. I usually drink that through out the day instead of water and its gets me the extra kick I need. Grape Frost and Icy orange are my favorite but they have about 6 out there. I have found them at GNC and Vitamin Shoppe

Why does my old scar hurt?
d3pooks replied to FatJuicyMouse's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe as you lose weight and your skin begins to sag and pull a little its tugging on the skin around the scar? -
The pain ball is a a ball of anestesia that was in my left side to help with the incision pain. When the ball deflated (meaning all the meds were gone) I just pulled the tube out. So I bad a pain ball on the left and the drain on the right... yes I was lookin mad sexy!!

I pulled my pain ball out at home... didnt hurt at all. Have someone else to it so you dont freak yourself out. Get used to not wanting to eat that is still with me 1 month later. popsicles were good BUT I had to hold it in my mouth a little so it was not as cold. The pain for me faded quickly but then again I had a C Section in 2005 and this pain to me was far less than that. Just go easy and rest. Drink as much protein as possible to heal and you will be great. Good Luck!

1 week out today! Way different than I expected!
d3pooks replied to PamelaAM's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Im 3 weeks out and still have nausea. I know you dont believe me... IT WILL GET BETTER. I even got sick with a cold the week after my procedure which set me back but I promise it gets better. Just drink what you can and before you know it the time will come to get some semi solids and things will start to come together. Good Luck! -
I had my sleeve 9-13 and Im doing well. Im looking forward to being on soft foods next week instead of liquids... problem is IM SCARED. Is eating going to hurt? How do you know a full feeling compared to an air bubble feeling? Its funny that after eating for 33 years I feel Im learning all over again. Any suggestions would be helpful.:crying:

My surgeon said that my cycle may be off a month or so as my body adjusts to all the changes its going through. I would just be ready for it at any time
