    Failte agus Slainte!

Hi coops, Thanks for your kind words. I'm feeling great. No complications so far. I had very bad morning sickness and my gallstones started acting up 4 weeks ago. Ended up in hospital for two weeks but all fine since then thank god. Have to remove gallbladder after the baby. I still have about 6 stone to lose and a lit of excess skin but fingers crossed ill get there :-) It has been the best decision I have ever made to be honest and I hope reading this thread helps people out there to get the courage to go for it. It changed my life. I was 32 stone and could barely walk. I'm now 20 and feel like a new person. I hope your doing good and feeling fab x Emma

    Failte agus Slainte!

Hi Booklean and anyone else from Ireland. Forgot about this site but got some email notifications so decided to update on here. I had my op on 22nd of September 2010. I've had no real complications since and everything has gone well. So far I have lost approx 12 stone and am now expecting a baby this coming September! Still losing very slowly during pregnancy but have been assured baby is getting all it needs. Would love to hear how everyone is doing. Emma

  4. Hi, I hope I have the correct Emma Louise -- from Ireland I believe? Haven't seen any posts from you for a while and have been thinking about you and wondering how you are doing. Seems like we had about the same amount of weight to lose if I have the right person. Just checking in on you. I'm 10 months out on the 29th April and have lost 135.5 pounds. Doing well hope you are too.

  5. Thanks for filling in Vix Roseib. Basically feel the same way. My cravings for bad food are practically gone. It's a struggle to get down my protein but I am only 2 weeks out. It definitely alters your attitude toward food and makes you think about everything your putting into your body. I can't drink while eating but you get used to it. You'll be fine Vix, I wish you the best of luck Xxx Emma
  6. Hi DebK. Thank you so much for your kind post. I'm glad you have decided to go ahead with a sleeve. It really is amazing but I won't lie the first few weeks are tough going and your attitude to food completely changes but I'm so glad I've done it. Keep me posted. XX Emma
  7. Thongs! Lol...Damn typing on my phone lol. Always changes my words into embarrassing things :-) Thanks stacy...I feel like I'm finally getting the hang of the whole thing x
  8. Good luck Friday! Everything will be great x Emma
  9. Hi guys, Lots to update you all on. Have finally got rid of the gas pains. Thank you God! Lol. They were the worst part of the whole op. My incisions are almost fully closed up. You can barely see them. I saw my dietican yesterday and got lots of good news. I'm allowed move to to pureed foods. I can have scrambled egg. Woohoo! And I'm down 39 lbs! I'm delighted. Now I'm 392lbs. Cannot believe it. Feeling great and my menstrual cycle has returned after 15 months of nothing. Looks like thongs are getting back on track. Eating and drinking is still hard but I'm getting there. I hope everyone is doing good. Let me know how everybody's journey is going. Thanks for your constant support Xxx Emma

  11. Guys I have a terrible tightness in ny left arm is this normal. It's more shoulder arm and chest.
  12. Hi guys, time for another update I guess. Got home from the hospital yesterday which was fab. Not in half as much pain anymore and feeling better by the day. Down 24lbs already so I'm delighted. I need to have my bandages off tomorrow and I should feel even better after that. Only thing I'm having major problem with is lying down. I find my bed much to flat. It puts massive pressure on my tummy. As far as eating goes I've not able to have much at all. Some sloppy porridge-2 spoons for breakfast and homemade soup twice a day, a further two spoons each time. On my calcium and vitamins also so think I'm doing pretty well. Hope everyone is feeling well. All my livexxx Emma
  13. Feeling a lot better today, pain has really reduced and all drips are out. Had a shower and feels refreshed after it. Hopefully I get to go home today. No doubt the next few months ate going to be tough but it will all be well worth it in the end. I wonder how much I have lost already. Hopefully they can weigh me before I leave the hospital. Xxx Emma
  14. Thanks lil miss diva, really am struggling at the moment and am wondering what have I done to myself. My pain levels are massive, surgeon came and checked today though and said everything is normal so I trust him. I'm finding it tough to get the fluid down. A lot of burping but slowly getting it down. Thanks for the advice xxx Emma
  15. Hi guys sorry for lack of updates, been having a bad time of it. Supposed to be going hone tommorrow but looks like things have been delayed a bit. Up with diarrhea and very bad pain in tummy all night, the wound sites are very sore. Missing the morphine a lot, doesn't seem like the paracetemol is cutting it. Had 2 spoons of porridge today. It went right through me but felt ok to eat. Cathader is out now thank god so able to go toilet when I like. Physio have me walking the corridors to kill the stiffness. Hopefully feel much better soon. Xxx Emma
