  1. 1 years have passed since you registered at VerticalSleeveTalk! Happy 1st Anniversary noheaecs!

  2. Hi Melissa. I'm 5-3, was 202# at my sleeve surgery 6 days ago. I'm back at work since Monday, feeling pretty good. Can't say its easier than what other people experienced, but I'm feeling pretty good. My surgery was last Thurs. I flew to San Diego on Weds, flew home on Sunday, back at work for a 1/2 day on Monday, and full day yesterday, and full time from here on out. It would have been lovely to take a little more time off, but I don't have that kind of flexibility in my job, and its really working out fine. Danae

    Wisconsin VSGrs?

Thanks Jean. I'll let you know how it goes. I have another friend here in GB who just had a sleeve done (here in GB) about 2 weeks ago. She seems pretty happy with her procedure so far. Danae

    Wisconsin VSGrs?

I'm in Green Bay and have surgery scheduled for Sept 16, 2010 with Dr. Aceves. I have insurance but it doesn't cover bariatric surgery. I'm scared now. I'm travelling alone, and wish it wasn't so. I'll be glad to be home and with my family and recovering.

Hi there. I hear we get a chance to meet others while we are there. At least walking the halls after surgery? Its good to know I've got company.... Danae

    September sleevers wanted!

I am new to this list, just made my appointment for surgery on the 16th. I have about 80# to lose (that is such a funny number to post. I haven't been at that weight since, maybe, middle school???). Can't quite believe it is possible yet, but I'm open to being surprised... And I'm a little nervous now. I have to travel (to Dr. Acevas) alone, as we have adopted a little girl who doesn't yet have a passport so can't go to Mexico. So my partner will be staying home with her. I know other people do it alone, but I wish it wasn't so.
