I need advice and suggestions Please I can go all day without real hunger or thinking about food but..........between 8pm and 11pm I feel like I want to snack, munch, and graze. I've tried to keep my hands busy but that only works for so long. I try to eat protein, string cheese, yogurt, SF pudding but I crave salt and sweet . Is anyone else going through the night time munchies??

Wedding Planner replied to myrori's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I enjoy eating out, I may not eat alot of my food but I enjoy the leftovers. I must admit that there are times that I'm really mad that I can't eat more, lol, yesterday I could only eat about 3oz of a really great steak, and my son ate my left overs !! -
DANGIT!!!! It is official, my hair is falling out. EXPLETIVE!
Wedding Planner replied to mp8btpc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It must be the hair loss time for the September group...it's a little scary in the shower drain these days:unsure: how long will the hair loss last? Maybe I will drop a couple more pounds in hair loss. Oh well, I hear skinny and bald is "HOT" guess I'll wait and see:lol: -
I treat myself to one really nice fitting pair of jeans every - other - size. I wore my last size until my daughter told me they looked really funny and baggy in the legs and butt.....I love it .. I looked funny with a baggy butt, that's a first:lol:

prescription Omeperazole...break them?
Wedding Planner replied to 6kiddos's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If they are the funny gold color capsules, you can open them and sprinkle on applesauce (or anything you choose). You just have to make sure that you do not chew the little balls. I was unsure about doing this but my PC doctor and the pharmacist said it was OK. -
I tried a recipe that was posted for a "bread" that was made with egg white that were beaten until stiff. It was wonderful, but I lost the recipe If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know where I can find it again. Thanks for the help.

Wedding Planner replied to Val_Martin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have felt this a couple of times, it really freaked me out. Not sure why, except it did pass after a couple of minutes, but I almost felt faint. Anyone have a reason for these feelings? -
Wednesday was my 3 week post op, I haven't lost any weight in the past 2 weeks!!:biggrin0: This is really freaking me out, I am on the soft food stage, meaning that if I can chew it to death I can eat it ( meatloaf, deli chicken etc.) I'm not eating alot but I find that I want to snack at night, this is usually when I have SF pudding, or a string cheese. Any ideas on what I can do, or what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for any help:frown1:

I received the MB as a gift about 2 years ago, used it once or twice and put it away. I pulled it out before surgery during the pre-op liquid diet to mix the protein shakes.....I love it, I can mix and drink from the same jar, and clean up is so easy. At the low price, even if you just use it during the soft/mushie stage it's worth it.

Help! I need FIBER!
Wedding Planner replied to sleeve 4 me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not sure where I read this before surgery but I wrote it down just in case. I haven't had the need to try it..yet.. but they say it works. 4oz prune juice 4oz orange juice 10 seconds in the micro wave If you can't drink all 8oz just drink as much as you can. Let us know if this helps. -
TMI...but I GOTTA ASK!!
Wedding Planner replied to Avahsmommy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also had the liquid in and liquid out during pre-op. I am 2 weeks post-op now and things are still pretty much coming out the same way they are going in, only now it's the mushies...I know it's TMI but sometimes you wonder if it's OK. I asked my Nut and she said this is the way it works, LOL, until I can eat more solid food there isn't much to poop out. -
many AFTER questions
Wedding Planner replied to Kimmysil's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery on Wednesday and went home on Friday. I am still waiting a couple more days to drive, the seat belt knows just where to rub me wrong. LOL Pain Med.....I haven't needed or taken any since I left the Hospital. I think my tummy is still alittle swollen, but come on it's been through alot! -
I need a smoke!
Wedding Planner replied to luvinitcuzican's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also used Chantix, no bad side affects, and it took the physical need away and I didn't have to RAMBO anyone LOL. I still had to deal with the "I want" but at least "I didn't need". My surgeon would not touch me until I was 90 days smoke free. -
Im getting scared!!!
Wedding Planner replied to sleeveorbust's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Sleeve, Your first surgery can be a worry, and everything we say can't stop that but....here is something to look forward to...once they get the IV started, and the anesthesiologist comes in, they will give you some "happy meds". This is one of the best feelings I know, sounds strange but it's true, you'll see You will also be happy to have the catheter. They are giving you so much fluid in the IV you would need to pee every half hour, getting out of bed in a hurry to pee would not be fun.:biggrin0: As for the drain, it's "just there" it didn't hurt, just pulled alittle if you move wrong, but no big deal. You'll do great, I can't wait to hear all about it. xoxo -
Eating habits before vs. after surgery
Wedding Planner replied to Dave_NW's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Dave I'm only 7 days post op but this is me so far...... Before surgery I could EAT, and I really loved doing it. I am a true foodie, I love to cook, and would eat out several times a week. There were days that if it didn't run away from me I would eat it, (poor kids, scurrying around the house LOL). I watched my weight go up, up and up, then came the high blood pressure, type II diabetes, high cholesterol, and the 7 month prego belly!!!! I am feeling great! Do I get hungry, I think so, but mostly I will just feel alittle "empty" and right now about 3oz fill me up. I don't plan out my food or measure it out, if it is too much of a project I might not do it, yup, I just admitted that. You KNOW when you are filling the pouch. You can tell when you have had enough, and if you really want that next bite you will probably think twice the next time. I have not thrown up, or had any real pain, it's just a tight almost like an ache. I have not had any heart burn or acid reflux, I know alot of our sleeve family take an anti acid but I have not had the need. The reason I'm having a hard time meeting the liquid and Protein goals is because there are only so many hours in a day LOL. It takes me about an hour to drink 8-10 oz of liquid, it takes me about 45 mins to eat 3-4oz of Soup, and with the whole don't drink and eat at the same time thing there goes my day. Hope this gives you some idea of life at 7 days post-op. Would I do it again, you bet!! Do I see commercials for food and feel a little sad that I would ever eat a "whole" meal, YES but then I remind myself that I will be able to eat those things again and have leftovers!! What a deal. :biggrin0: -
What protein have you liked the best?
Wedding Planner replied to meriteri's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello Meri... Glad to hear that you are up and about. When did you come home? I got out of the hospital yesterday and feel pretty OK. I really like the Muscle Milk(pre-made not pwd) but I am kinda tired of them due to the 2 week pre-op. I ordered some of the unJury in the unflavored and have mixed it in sugarfree jello, Crystal lite and even warm tea, I can't really taste it but it has a little bit of that protein smell. Let me know how you are doing -
Counting the hours...12 more
Wedding Planner posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tomorrow is my day, surgery should be around 9am if they stay on time. I'm sitting here excited, scared, and after 2 week liquid pre-op, it's liquids out at this point. Sure hope it stops :confused1: LOL I'll be back with a "skinny new improved" post and let you know how everything went, I'm sure I'll have lots of questions. -

Fish Oil
Wedding Planner replied to Wedding Planner's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks ocgal, the Dr did have me stop taking all vits, and fish oil 10 days ago, guess I can't worry now LOL. -
I just read a post-op post, she had problems during surgery from taking fish oil. Has this been a problem for anyone else? I'm freaking out about this, the Dr had me stop 9 days prior to surgery. Help, please:scared0:

I have been on the Pre-Op liquid diet for 12 days now, I thought I couldn't drink another protein shake LOL. A friend of mine found sugar-free flavor syrup and told me to try it, did that yesterday and it added a different flavor to the shake (added coconut to chocolate shake). This morning I added the caramel to a chocolate shake and then added some coffee, OMG I almost have StarBucks . If you have a Home Goods near you check out the fun flavors they have, I was pleasantly surprised.
