    Support from Wife?

Thanks to all. I will lean on everyone here. She definately is frustrated with her own weight and jealous of me right now. We have been walking to gether the past week and it is kind of at the point as long as I don't mention it or talk about the amount of weight I have lost then she is fine, kinda like nothing is happening. Hopefully she will see what a struggle this really is. Surgery tomorrow so I am sure the nerves will kick in tonight after the Saints game! I really hope they win tonight!

Thanks, will mention the site to her but I doubt it will matter. Actually broke 350 this morning and I was so excited I told her. Well, that didn't go so well. Her reply was "I starve myself and walk all week and not lost a pound". Then I asked her if she wanted to try my diet. Well, that wasn't good either. SO it seems that this is one of those situations where I can't win no matter what I do or say. What a bummer! After all this is supposed to be a journey and would not prefer to travel it alone. To hell with it, surgery in 2 days. My new life starts then.

    Calories

Old school of thought, burn more than you take in and you are good.

    Cost of vertical sleeve

$11,500 in Lafayette, La. Includes 2 nights hospital, all visits for 1 year, bariatric team support and more.
  11. Have you had yours yet? Scheduled? I am going in next Tuesday.

  12. I am using Dr Eschete and Dr Gasshasin from Lafayette. Price is $11,500 and includes both drs during surgery and 2 nights in hospital, all blood work and years worth of post op visits. Getting sleeved on Tuesday, 21st so getting a little nervous. Performed at Lafayette General. They are both very nice and well informed along with their bariatric staff. You see a nutritionist, physical therapist, and another lady that walks you thru the whole process and is kind of a go to gal for anything you need.

    Wendy's chili

Anyone have the chili from Chili's? Seems to be a little leaner, no beans and tastes better to me. But the nutritionist says Wendy's. What do ya'll think or experience?

    Pre-op diet, WHY?

I am confused as well. My surgery is Sept 21st and I was put on a diet yesterday, about a 800-1000 cal diet consisting of hi protein and low carb, natural fruit and so fourth. They said the same thing about the liver. But also that for the most part they were following the same post op standards for Gastric Bypass, ie vitamins for life. Guess it just seems like it is a free for all when it comes to standards. Kinda like they haven't done enough of them so they are all just guessing or doing what they think is right. I have gotten different info from the same "team" of people that I am seeing. Makes me a little nervous but I am doing what they say when I can figure it out.
