    More pain on day 4??

I noticed once I took my On Q out things were a little worse. It could also be because you're getting more active (like you're suppose to be) that makes you more uncomfortable and kicks up the pain a bit. Call your Dr if things get really bad though.
  3. Relax it will be fine. You mentioned that you can't see yourself in the gym for an hour or 2. Remember that after the surgery if you don't work out (and that's more than just walking) you won't reach your desired results. Stick to the preop diet religiously and things will go super smooth. Good luck!
  4. It's up to your insurance company what they will and wont accept. Aetna allows the PA to write one. If yours denies it off the bat then call them and a lot of times you can sweet talk them into it.

    10 Days Out!

It's pretty miserable for about 2 weeks then once you start really walking and life gets back to normal you'll notice how much better you feel. Especially when you see someone you haven't seen in a couple weeks and they tell you how much better you look. Then you'll be on cloud 9. Remember you're in it for the long haul and you'll be fine.
  6. A lot of my post op hunger was more mental than physical. I would think "Hey it's been a couple hours since my last meal I should be hungry" then miraculously a few minutes later I would get hungry. I know it's hard especially if you're staying home after surgery with nothing to do but think about food. My nutritionist recommended using little kid cups so you can't down too much liquid at one time. You will be drinking literally all day to get your 60oz of liquid and 60 oz of protein in. I also took my water bottles (and the protein drink bottles) and marked them at 7oz increments with a sharpie so I wouldn't drink more than I should at any sitting. I also noticed the more protein was in the drink the faster I felt full and the longer it lasted. It's kinda a lot of work but worth it. Good luck!

Why do I hurt so bad?

The best advice (that you've read 3 times now so it means something) is tell your Dr. I felt like a wuss for feeling like I "couldn't handle" the pain and almost went to the ER the day after surgery because I hurt so bad. My Dr told me to up my pain killers and gave me some tips that made like much more pleasant for the next few days. Good luck!

    Normal???

Thanks guys. It has gone down significantly. Appreciate it!
  9. This is an awkward situation that I haven't seen addressed anywhere else yet so hopefully someone out there has dealt with it. Ever since my sleeve surgery 2 weeks ago I randomly get horrible breath. I thought it was the acid reducers so my Dr switched my scrip but it hasn't helped. It only happens randomly and I can't seem to pinpoint anything causing it. I've been uber diligent about doing everything according to plan. Help anyone? :crying:
