Anyone had sleeve done in Iowa, trying to find out if there are any qualified Drs in these parts!

Anyone have info on how well he does with band to sleeve revisions? And according to other posts about him, there is a difference of service between Sandy and Trish. What the heck is that about, anyone know?

I know he hasn't done many, found one person on here who has used him. I've heard he is a great bypass surgeon, but just wanting any feedback anyone can give me1

I have had my band since 2003. I planned on getting a revison in Mexico, but I'm terrified because of how old my band is that I'll have a leak past the 4 days in Mexico. Considering getting band out (which insurance will pay for, just not the sleeve) then at later date do sleeve. Does anyone have any info on old banders that did a revision and how much scar tissue etc. Or reccomendations on doing it at one time or separately? Just don't know what to do. HELP!

wondering if anyone with bcbs wellmark of Iowa has been approved in any case or with any appeal?

So if i am approved for band removal, what are my options for revision to sleeve? My dr said bcbs will not approve sleeve because its investigational, but i gotta get this sleeve done....any advice?
