hey everyone i just need some opinions im a pot smoker and my surg is 18 days away i cut down to just smoking to 1 or twice a day? if i just plane quit 5 days before surgery do you think there will be a problem? iv been trying so hard to just quit, i dont smoke cigarettes just 1 or 2 joints a day to calm my nerves so please if anyone can relate please respond

Hey everyone sorry it's bin awhile since iv bin on, my surgery was sept 23/2010 nd I went in at 200 and now I'm 175 I feel great people have been starting to notice nd so have I, I can't eat much but I don't care I love it u really realize how much u ate before surgery. I don't know if anyone can relate to this but I often get this feeling in my throat maybe I little more further down it's hard to describe it's fizzy achy burning feeling feels as if you can throw up when u get that feeling my mouth sometimes even gets watery when that feeling comes, when it does I breath and it goes away but I wanna know what it is. I hole iv list what's recommended at 2 months and week out, I'm excited to loose more seems like the weight loosing is in spouts it will quit then come off again stop then start loading again etc. Anyway hope everyone Is doing good

dont worry you will be fine im on week 3 and i starting eating thing like applesauce after a week and now i sometimes eat a couple chips and i feel fine, dont worry you wont die

Don't worry I'm 2 weeks today and I'm having the same problem the scale hasn't moved much at all at first it did but now it's staying the same, I even got my first period since surgery maybe that's why it hasn't moved!!!!! I'm gonna go take a walk on the treadmill and hopefully the scale will change nest week good luck to u and hope ur feeling well I'm pretty much to feeling normal again

Just wondering I'm 9 days post and wondering Is crystal lite safe to drink yet?

so im 6 days post op and i feel great finally i never slept last night for some reason i have no idea kind of a tummy ache but drank and felt better, but im scared im having these cravings for good food like iv been craving a greek salad a peice of chicken, flakes of ham mash potatoes etc, is this normal for only being 6 days post op, im scared and worried that ill never be able to eat a sandwich again or chicken wrap from timmies, so for the people that are months post op whats it like can you eat pretty much anything now but just in small portion??? and hows spicy food? i love franks hot sauce and i dont wanna give that up, i cant wait for this 2 weeks to go by so i can have some mashed potato or something im HUNGRY

So was just wondering when anyone was able to some salad I'm a week out and iv been craving a Greek salad but I know that won't be for a bit I tryed some sour crout and apple sauce that dint seem bad at all, do you think I could try some home made salsa? I'm scared if I try something I'll pop a hole in my stomach nd die! Also I was also wondering the dr gave me these pills to reduce the risk of alsars or gallstones and I have to take 3 a day do u think I really needa take them? One more thing is any of y'all able to have a bite of a subway sub or a pita from the pita pit

NO NO NO YOU GUYS OF course im not that stupid im wondering for the future WHEN you were able too like at 2,3,or 4 months when were able to eat some of this stuff, im thinking about a greek salad cuz im craving it i wouldnt actually go ahead and eat a week after i dont wanna DIE

hey ladies it me melissa i hope you guys can answer this question, im one week post op today feeling pretty good now but its my 3rd day with hardly any sleep not because im unfortable and in pain but i dunno my brain wont go to sleep alll the way you know when ur still kinda of awake but sleeping at the same time, not your normal deep sleep, is this normal after sleeve surgury im worried i want sleep again i nice 8hr + would be nice. i hope it goes awayso someone answer this please

I'm happy I found this I'm one week post today and I'm outta pain but I'm going on day 3 with hardly any sleep I'll go to bed but it's like I'm still of awake my brain won't go to sleep at all!!!! My body wants to, this isn't normal for me at all, do u think it will pass or shoulda go get a sleep aid , it feel so nice to actually get an 8hr sleep. This normal after surgery?

Thanx guys this helps so much I'm 7 days post op do think of a tryed a pea size peice of meatloaf my husband is a great cooking smelling and looking at it auuuuhhhhh is there anything u guys ate a week post op suppost to be clear fluids only for 2 weeks maybe it's just head hunger

So im 5 days post op and I'm suppost to be on nothing but liquids for 2 weeks but I was wondering do u think I can eat ANYTHING??? I'm starting to finally be hungry for food do u think a freezie would hurt? Has anyone eatin anything 5 day to a week post op? Also I'm not suppost to eat anything with sugar but like what about a push pop? Hey everyone I'm just wondering how we change the stery strips I got these lil tapes for underneath the bandage she never gave me the the top bandage just the tape so do take the top off nd just change the strips of tape? I'm 2 days post op iv cryed a few times I just feel like I'm not getting enough liquid I feel weak nd tired most of the time. Iv tryed some chicken broth today not very much tho

I'm 2 days post op I got home 1 day after last night was ruff it hurts to take sips I feel like there's a big gas bubble in my chest that won't come out, the liquid Tylonal with codene really help when it kicks in I get 3 hrs sleep, I'm scared I'm not getting enough water I just can't get much down I'll keep trying tho, does anyone ever gag nd feel like ur going to chuck? That what last night was I did start passing more gas which is good I guess

hey everyone im out of the hospital at home surgery went good, i feel a lil nausiated right now trying to get down water i havnt been able to very much down at all and i gagged a lil and a lil barf came up is that normal??? my pain in my belly is gettin sore i think im gonna go take a pain killer soon and lay back down, other then that walking feels okay to do. i hope it gets better and i hope the pain in my tummy isnt a leak

hi everyone im more of a smaller person getting sleeve im 5"2 and around 200-205lbs i was just wondering if theres anyone out there that is around my size and gonna get surgery? im 4 days away from my surgery and wondering if its better recovery the smaller you are? and i would just like too hear from some of the people that are more on the smaller side that have had or going to have and how was it for you, thankx everyone for your reply..........wish me luck sept 23 is the day your sleeve friend melissa

iv got 5 more days left till my surgery and im getting soo nervous and i mean everyday is going by do fast and i sometimes question myself if im doing the right thing like what if i die or what if i hate it i dunno i really want it but am i gonna miss being able to eat lots of yummy delicious food, are these normal feelings before surgery

wow this really help me to im 8 days away from my surgery and im getting soooo scared. this site really does make it much easier. and this ques goes to mp8 how come you cant drink crystal light now? thats all i drink at the moment but im wondering how come lots of people dont drink it anymore after surg

awww man ladies i have 19 days till mine and i hope i have it smooth and not much pain , so on a scale of 1-10 how bad is the gas pain in the chest does it feel like you can die from not enough breath??
