Hi, and thank you for replying to my message. I started looking into weight loss surgery since about a yr ago, and started researching with US doctors, but the process here is soooo slow and I can't wait another 6 months with this weight and everything that's involved, so I started researching drs in Mexico and I came across Dr Alejandro Lopez and Dr Jacky Osuna. I just made my decision and I'm going to them! I'm having the vertical sleeve not the lap band, which i think its also a good choice but not for me:( I'm 254 lbs and only 5'high. Too much for me already.
You still have a lot to lose, but we did not gain all this weight in a few weeks, right??? I know my journey is just beginning and that it will take me maybe a year or maybe more to get to the weight I want (about 150 lbs), but I know that my health will be improving as I lose lb by lb.

Hey, I am also from Alabama and currently a patient of Dr. Dewitt's. He is out of Birmingham, AL! My husband had the Realize Band procedure done 3 months ago by Dr. Dewitt with great success! Not trying to sell you on our doctor, but just noticed you were pretty new to the process like me! I am 27 with 3 kids and a wonderful husband! I have around 200lbs to loose, YIKES, I just admitted that out loud!!!! Anyway, I hope you have great success! How far along in your process are you now? I have all my final appointments scheduled this month and hopefully will be told my surgery date in September! =)

Hi Pattiecakec!...My name's Amelie, I'm in Alabama...I really don't have exactly the answers for your questions, but i have problems too with my weight, and i was searching for a few drs. in Mexico. I think I'm narrowing down to Dr. Lopez Ortega. He can do my sleeve plication for $6,000 in Tijuana at the INT Hospital. I think I will tour the facilities to check them out. I visited their website and they look pretty young but i have a couple of friends who have had the regular sleeve with them and they are pretty happy with the results and have had no complications at all. And i found her coordinator Danny very helpful.. I have relatives in So. California, so its very easy for me to drive down to Tijuana, Mexico. Or the dr can even send a driver to pick me up at the airport in San Diego, California. We'll see how it goes... Good luck in your journey, Amelie -

I visited their website, Weight Loss Surgery Guadalajara | Weight Loss Surgery Tijuana, and i was referred by a friend who had surgery with him in Tijuana.I have relatives in San Diego, so I'm thinking of having my surgery with him in Tijuana also. Since you've already been there, will you honestly recommend the doctor and the facilities for my procedure:huh0:? I'm having the plication sleeve.Price i got for this is $6000 and it is the best price i have found so far.His coordinator Danny is assisting me. Hello Navymom, i was reading your post, did you finally have your surgery with Dr. Lopez? i visited their website and they look pretty young.Since you met him will you recommend him for my surgery?, he's offering me the plication for $6,000 in the Tijuana Hospital, i have family in San Diego so I'm planing to fly down there and have the surgery with min sometime next month. I contacted him directly in he's office and he sounded very attentive and professional, if you had your surgery with him, how was it afterward and how did you feel? Thanks for your feedback -
