I was sleeved on the 16th. I was not ordered to do a two week pre-Op diet; just Clear liquids the day before.
I'm doing pretty well. Incision site pain in the hospital was minimal, probably due to my "party ball," my affectionate nickname for the On-Q medical cather system my doctor put in. It's been kind of a pain to carry around, but well worth it! I took the leads out last night - the medication was only enough for 4 days - and was terribly nervous that today would by extremely uncomfortable. Much to my surpise, it's very minimal - just when I get up or down, and the gas pain is still lingering.
I haven't weighed myself yet, and don't plan to until my Post-Op appt on the 23rd. I am a little worried about caloric intake though. Since most sugar-free clear liquids have no calories, I'm consistently getting only 50-150 per day; just doesn't seem enough to sustain a person. Can't wait to add Protein shakes - getting really tired of Sobe Lifewater and Powerade Zero.
