granted, i'm only 8 days from surgery, but this began several weeks ago, while i was on presurgery diet. i've been craving the food i make for the family, but if i taste a sauce, or have a liquid i'm used to, it tastes.... different. like my taste buds are muted. and i have this aweful taste in my mouth, like bad breathe i can taste, and brushing doesn't really remove it. any suggestions? am i the only one? i hope this goes away sometime..... thanks in advance

I Love your question!! I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and I love the answers everyone has given... I want to shop regular sizes.. thats where the cute clothes are.. I want to go go-carting with my boys. I want to find a new thing, something I've never thought I could do, but haven't thought of it yet... maybe SkyDiving???? I want to just live in the moment. in the fun things that come up in life, and be able to say YES!!! Lets go!!! :thumbup1:

I'm back, and fell great today,but also feel like a Mac truck is sitting on my gut. i haven't pooped yet. is this normal? the surgery went so quick, and i felt ok thru the whole thing. now i'm on liquids again, but feel so bloaty! :001_unsure: i do feel good that i'm out and moving around again, and today ventured to get groceries for the fam. and yes, it's weird. where did my appetite go?

i love reading everyone's comments to each other, because I can't believe how many emotions i can go thru in 1 day! I'm excited, nervous, anxious... and have felt the OMG moments of removing part of me. BUT... i'm down 25 lbs on pre surgery diet, and i can't wait for some help to continue this. I can't even remebr the last time i lost weight. I'm on my protein shake countdown before surgery, and I try not to think about it, but here i am. i have to be at the hospital early wednesday morn, and I'm first on the or list for the day. wish me luck....

just stumbled on the site, and am soooo happy to have found you all. i'm now 11 days until surgery, and am happy and nervous! was just telling my sister how i can feel determined that this is the right thing and feeling like it's too drastic all in the same thought. when i really know it's the right thing, i just want to eat something other than protein shakes! but my presergery weight loss is going well, except getting all the water down in a day. and i think i'm feeling its easier to do things, or maybe i'm more motivated. anyway, glad to find you all. you ask great questions!

sorry you're hving a down day. i hate waiting, and that's probably whats giving you the blues. i was thinking the other day that surgery is such a drastic thing, do i really want to? today i saw myselfin a window as i pased a store, and thought... i can't wait to have a tool to help me get this weight off!! get busy, don't dwell on the negative things. hope your day gets better!

I'm 10 days from scheduled surgery date and well into the liquid diet, and was wondering... how can I feel full on protein one day, and the next day (ok, today) be starving!!! and it doesn't help that when you can't eat, everything is so much more appealing and tempting! :thumbup: tonight my friend wants to take me to the movies to get my mind off my stomach, but i'm actually afraid of the smell of popcorn.........

i'm anxious to get to the looser side too. congrats on a great sucess!
