Really good. On Monday I go to pureed foods. I seem to be on a weight stall and haven't lost any weight since Tuesday. That is very frustrating.

After the class in his office and the meeting with the Dietician and Psychologist (also the same day), that was it. I got my surgery date that very day. Well, I am counting the hours now.

Sherry I have one more questio for right now LOL
After your education class what were the next steps?
And why are the classes so long?
How soon did you get your surgery date?

No, I had Blue Cross. The process went so fast that I was unprepared. I went to the HFH Seminar in mid-May and then I filled out the info packet and mailed it in. I then went on vacation and schedule my consult for June 17th. That very day they scheduled my surgery for the 19th. The packed you get at the seminar has a prescription for bloodwork and that was it for me. On the day of the consult, I had my meeting with the Dietician and the psychologist and then at my pre-op testing last week, I had an EKG and more bloodwork. It all went really smoothly.
The insurance requirements for bariatric surgery was basically a BMI over 40 and a BMI over 50 for the sleeve. They have relaxed everything so much since I last checked 5 years ago.
The liquid diet has been challenging and I am quite emotional and scared...LOL.

Hi Sherry, I wanted to know if you have United Health Care for your insurance. IF so what was your requirements. I also wanted to know what kind of testing did you have to do? How long was the process. I attend the educational class August 3rd. I originally wanted to have the lap band until I start researching more and found that I really want the sleeve done.
Please keep in touch I would love to know how your journey comes along.
