I was banded on December 11, and have lost 31 lbs. My friend was done the week prior to mine, and she has lost 70. I agree with whoever said we are all different. I know my loss is slower because I've slipped into some of my old patterns of a bite here and there of things that are too sugary. You have to exercise, and the weight loss for some goes faster. It only took me from August when I went to the seminar until December 11, 2007 for surgery. However, I was a self pay and there were no complications. I understand it can be a longer process with insurance, or if your insurance requires you to try a six month weight loss program first. Best wishes, Kim
