I am not sure if the problem I have had throat/mucus/sinus discomfort and soreness is related to the hiatal hernia possibly re-occurring. It's just speculation and guess work on my part. I am going to have an upper endoscopy early July for a check to see how the inside of my stomach and esophagus appears. I am also going to get a second opinion from another ENT w/regard to a diagnosis of LPR or Laryngopharyngeal Reflux. Something's going on with my throat and the gastroenterologist doesn't agree with the ENT's diagnosis since I've been on PPI's for many months now. I'll post a blog to keep people here informed.
