You are so right Good Life. I think I am just getting cold feet. You are doing great! When I read your posts, it reminds me of why I am doing this. I want my life back. I want to feel healthy, happy and confident again. Thanks for reminding me of all these things! Renee

Congratulations on your success!! You are truly an inspiration to me. I am just starting on this journey as I just had my initial consult with the surgeon. I am self pay so things should move pretty quickly, but I think I am getting cold feet.....It just seems so drastic. Then I read your post and it makes we want to be able to move again, to be able to swim and ski with my family, not just sit on the side line and watch. Renee

Am new to this forum and wanted to check to see if anyone used Dr. Hoehn in Kansas City. I am scheduled for my initial consult with him on June 30. Does he require pre-op diet? Anything else you can tell me would be great. I am self-pay and understand surgery may be shortly after initial consult without insurance hoops to jump through.

Just wanted to say hi. I have been lurking here for sometime reading and learning from everyone and their experiences. I have been considering the sleeve for a while and have been researching my options. I have been to 2 information seminars held by the doctor's office and I guess am finally realizing I just need to do it! I have my consult with my doctor on June 23 and understand things should move quickly as I am self pay. Anyway......just wanted to say thanks for sharing your experiences. You have all been very helpful to me as I start on this journey.:thumbup:
