I dont notice much cravings but I get horrible cramps days before my period...:scared0:

Now that fall is upon us I already feel a sore throat starting. So that leaves me wondering how many post ops report when they get sick to there surgeon. Is it important to keep them informed if we get cold or flu?? Is it more dangerous after wls to get sick with a stomach bug? Since we wouldn't be eating much or worse keeping anything down. Just curious...I work with kids I catch everything in the winter!

Thanks Tiff I'm such a worrier lol. So my stomach should be fully healed by now right? Is there any otc medicine we shouldn't take? I hope I don't get a stomach bug I would be so scared of getting dehydrated. After my wls I got a fever and was actually diagnosed with some disease I had no idea I had. Ive been on medication for it since. So Ive been a mess and scared about things happening to me since surgery. But thanks again Tiff.

Thinking of buying some. Any ideas on good brands and where to get them? I can mix the powder in anything right? Thanks all!

-So I had my nut app today and I am down to 50lb lost since surgery. I have more energy and I feel better about myself. Although looking in the mirror I still see the same person. I personally don't see the weight loss but others do. -I got into trouble with my nut because I am Not drinking enough during the day. I find it hard to make room for 64oz and eating enough food for the day. Also I have been getting nauseous and dizzy fairly often. So I need to start keeping track of when I get these feelings. To determine if its dehydration,low sugar levels or medication side effects. -I was put on nausea medication to see if it helps and I also need to add more carbs to my diet. Overall I am doing better day by day. Its a lot of work and hopefully it will keep getting better for me!

My nut told me not to count cal or carbs. But I would guess I have around 500 cal day!

Im right there with you. Eating is a chore. I find it a struggle to get in enough food to cover my daily protein. To me, food doesn't have the same enjoyable taste and NEVER being hungry makes things very difficult. So I am right there with you!

Wait so I can add sugar free pudding mix right to my yogurt it? Does it really taste good? I will have to try this I been eating Greek yogurt but with the fruit at the bottom.

I have to say I did pretty good with popcorn. I had it with butter..but few hand fulls during the movie and I was satisfied!

I am having the same problem...I had surgery May 18th and my hair is starting to come out. From what I read there is not much we can do but it scares me.:crying:

Ok so im coming up on my 3 months and was wondering if its ok to start birth control? I had a little scare :scared0:and was also wondering what would happen if the pregnancy card did come about? Does anyone know the risks or if it has happened to anyone before? Just curious!! -On another note I have been on vaca now 5 days and I am going CRAZY with no scale. I feel like im gaining weight and not knowing for sure is making me nutty. My food schedule is out of wack and I know im not getting in all my Protein. Plus being around a huge family with nothing but junk food, pizza, bagels, chips , cakes:drool5: OMG everything horrible to eat is not helping me. It is making vaca VERY difficult. I find myself nibbling little bites of different things each day. Its so hard to resist and so sad to say but I CANT WAIT TO GO HOME. ( To get away from all these temptations.)

I think I went at about day 4 after surgery. I know my doctor said if I didnt have a bowl movement within 5-6 days to take a stool softener.

Okay so today I woke up with DYING pain in my stomach. This awful pressure I have never felt before. Being that I have IBS I have felt bad cramps but this was different. Ran to bathroom for over two hours and finally called my doctor. They want me to go to hospital afraid I might have a intestinal infection. But now after talking to the doctor I am feeling a little better. I was hoping he would just tell me to take Imodium or something. I dont know what to do. I hate the thought of being admitted ivs, tests, and blood work. What if it was just a bad bug??:svengo:

I woke up feeling awful. So I hadn't had any food or drink yet. But the night before I tried a cookie...I know I shouldn't of but it was calling my name. It went down ok. Then I went to bed. So I don't know if it affected me hours later or what!:thumbdown:

OMG the pain was so intense I was basically crying. Every time I laid down it felt worse and I would run back to the bathroom....it lasted for few hours but tonight im feeling better im just worried it will happen again. I couldn't even make it to work. Was scary!

So I went to hospital and they took some blood. Four hours later my blood results came back fine (thank god) and I went home. I think I may have experienced some form of "Dumping syndrome". My surgeon tells me sleevers dont experience this but I have heard otherwise. Has anyone experienced Dumping and what was it like??? I would love some input!

hey guys Im looking to get some more scar cream for my incisions. Any ideas on what creams work good? How long before the scars start fading and looking less obvious? Let me know your thoughts thanks!

I have gurgling but its more in my throat..its doing it now actually..im 2 months post op and it happens to me everyday. If I lay down to soon after eating or drinking or try something new. My throat starts talking to me. Sounds like a little man is in there lol..

I know we shouldn't eat carbs and my NUT said it was ok if I had a few crackers or something here and there. But I find meat and the basics so unappealing that I just tried lots bad things today. I didnt eat a lot obviously but few bites banana bread, few crackers, 3 bites sandwich a mini cookie and lots cheese. Cheese is only thing I dont get tired of eating. Sorry I just had to vent...im so lost with food...anything I try turns me off so I dont EVER want to eat it again...

Has anyone a month post op tried hotdogs? For me it goes down kind of easy compared to other meats. I can only eat a half in a sitting but I am loving them. I s this ok to eat??
