Thank you! You look fantastic as always! I hope I am able to go below goal like you are!

You are looking so good! I'm a year and 4 months out today I don't count calories at all and when I really want to lose I do low carb but everyday I probably have a "slip up" according to most people. Just to give you an idea here's what I ate today: coffee with 1tbs sugar (it's actually 2tbs sugar mix but the same calories as 1) about 3x a day Breakfast 1 egg, 1 bacon 1/2 a piece of toast with butter 1 6oz milk whole 2 handfulls of chips 1 and 1/2 slices of pizza (chicken tomatoes) and later i'll have a small piece of poundcake with strawberries on top. 1 piece of beef Jerky

Any People With Gastric Sleeve Leaks?
SouthernSleever replied to Driver63's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You could get leaks as you see. Choosing a good surgeon, following your post op diet make this less of a chance but really it can happen to anyone. Reflux. I'd say everyone has reflux until your stomach's swelling goes down. I did until about a year post op. Dizziness/rapid heartbeat. I don't know why this is but I've had several bouts of getting very tired, my heartrate accelerating, and just feeling horrible. It's not happened much recently but usually it was after a big meal or a meal with a lot of sugar. I've been on the board nearly 2 years and I've never heard anything about seizures. -

Those calories are SO low. Have you thought of just doing low carb and not even looking at the calories? -
Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
SouthernSleever replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Just checking in really quick. I'm 3lbs from goal so I've lost a pound or two in the last month or so. I've started working out 3x a week for an hour each day and the pounds just started coming off. I do hooping (hula hooping dance) and I'm LOVING it. What I'm not loving is the way my body is so saggy and melty (for lack of a better word). I need a TT sooo bad, and a boob job, and a thigh and arm lift. Blah! Keep your heads up girls who are having a hard time. Being hard on yourself is only going to make you depressed which leads to binge eating. -
Stupid Question -- Tipping

I tipped 20 there and back. He carried all my things for me and was super sweet. -
Confused And Depressed -- I Don't Want To Regret This!
SouthernSleever replied to AliveAgain's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First off let me say it's so worth it! Second you are on a liquid diet. Research and see what else you can have other than the shakes. I HATE shakes except for the Premier Protien shakes from costco or sam's or their website. Chicken broth, any broth strained from soups, tomato soup, cheese soup should all be fine. Juices, smoothies (after 2 weeks) made with real fruit and a touch of real sugar helped me through. After 2 weeks yogurt, applesauce (anythign you can drink through a straw and isn't chunky). Now I know these aren't your doctors orders, they were my doctors orders but it is up to YOU. My doctor has a great record w/o leaks and is very experienced. His plan is much more reserved than a lot of doctors on here. You will hear this "Do what your doctor said, if you didn't trust your doctor why did you pick him" blah blah blah on here. My take is you do your own research, listen to your body and do what's best for you. The idea that one surgeon knows everything (and you happened to pick the know it all) is crazy. Good luck, keep your head up, and dude....it feels so freaking fantastic at the finish line! -

Just checking in. The last 3 days of eating have been horrible. I feel Coke calling my name after drinking several of them in the last week. Also I've had probably 6 cupcakes over the past few days, kid's birthday is killing me AND a whole tub of movie popcorn GRRRRR On the bright side, before this huge disaster I hit 155 which puts me at a normal BMI and only 5lbs left to go. -

Fried Foods And Hot Wings Forbidden Forever?

I eat hotwings at least once a week. High on protein and you cna eat a few of them so they come in little servings. I can eat fried foods but they made me feel sick early out. -

Affordable Surgery In U.s.
SouthernSleever replied to mandy127's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Check out Texas, when I was researching several of the Drs around the area said they had to compete with Mx prices so theirs were lower. If I were you i'd spend my efforts on getting hubby behind you going to Dr Aceves. Best bang for your buck. -
Same thing happens to me. I wonder if it's because I rarely took baths before or because we have actually lost weight in our vagina as well leaving more room for water to go....scary thought eh?

Tell you surgeon that you want to nurse your baby in the future and they will try to do everything they can to keep the milk ducts intact. A good friend of mine had breast reduction surgery and she was able to nurse her baby 2 years later with no problems except the baby had a strong preference for the right over the left. She guessed there was more milk out of that one for some reason. -
Wow, you have come so far! You are smokin' hot woman!

Blah and back up .7 this morning after drinking my ass off last night FAIL! -
My insurance didn't cover WLS either but let me tell you after my experience with Dr Aceves in Mexico (only 5 minutes across the boarder in a private hospital) I'd send any of my family back to MX even if my insurance did cover it. My friend here in my same town had a Dr do her sleeve in July, I had mine in October. I'm down 120lbs she's down 60 and when we compare stories my hospital was much cleaner and my surgeon much more experienced. I promise if you research Dr Aceves over any other doctor you will go to him hands down.

Does The Liquid Diet Get Any Easier?
SouthernSleever replied to PreciousCargo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Doesn't get easier but it's short lived. With every hunger pain just think of your body stripping away a layer of fat and eating that instead. -
UGH! My backside needs help but I have a nagging injury on my knees (left moreso) so many traditional exercises I can't do. Thoughts?
-
I might be wrong but I think that's the same wording used to say you have to try other programs which are supported by your doctor (ww, adkins) before we will do surgery on you. Press on! PRESS ON!

Opinion Of Dr Almanza And His Facility In Tijuana
SouthernSleever replied to Oahu Firewater's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I think you need to do A LOT of research before going to him. After 2 years of being on this board, and then the board was wiped clean after a format change a lot of good (not so good) info on him has been lost. Read read read and look for answers outside of this board.
