    food tastes weird

First off, I'm 4 1/2 years post op.. My taste has never been the same since, but if anything, things taste too intense for me now.. It's a good thing for me though because it definitely helps me make better choices when it comes to eating and drinking.. But to this day, I still buy or cook enough food for a "normal" person to eat even though I can't and I waste A LOT of money on food..think I'd get it by now:P Now, milkshakes are way too sweet.. Most fried food is way too greasy and mayo, my most favorite sauce in the world, is now expiring in the back corner of my fridge.. and bread, everything about bread grosses me out- the smell, the texure, the taste..Ugh.. Bad smells make me nauseous.. Hotdogs, bologna, ham, most lunch meat disgusts me.. I was never like this before, the greasier the better, enough sugar to rot out my brains, loved it.. Now, get it all away from me!.. And I personally think that most of that's a good thing, well other than the smells thing.. These changes did come gradually over the past 4 years and I'm not missing that food at all.. I'm not a dieter/exerciser (I know, I know that's not how the LapBand plan goes), the only reason I've lost the weight is because I've lost the taste for those bad foods and I can't eat nearly as much as I used to.. So losing a little of your taste and your tastes changing, isn't always a bad thing!.. Wish you the best:)

    Phentermine?

I had some Phentermine left over from before and I took it about a month ago for a period of 2 weeks.. I didn't have any complications and the energy that it gave me was great:P I think at the most, I had a tummy ache but stuff gets caught in my band all the time.. Hope this helps!

    First Fill Problem??

I was banded on Feb. 22, 2007. Had my first fill March 30, no problems. I haven't felt that much different; it is a bit harder to swallow but nothing to be that concerned about so far, I think I'm maybe be eating too fast. Anyhoo, I've noticed in the last week since the fill, I'm waking up choking in my sleep, just gasping for air as if someone was smothering me with my pillow. It's quite traumatic for me. It's not every night, probably like every other night. I don't have sleep apnea or any other problems, I'm just overweight so I don't really get why I'm experiencing this. Anybody else have this happened? Any suggestions to end these frightening episodes??
