I am three weeks post op and I am at a stall. I haven't even lost ounces. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I am starting to get extremely frustrated and I'm feeling like a failure. What's going on?!:confused1::cursing:

Thanks everyone for your comments...at least now I know I'm not the only one this is happening to. Every time I get on the scale and see the same exact weight I want to chuck it at the wall. I hope you're right and I continue to lose weight...I just don't know when my body is going to get with the program. -
It's been about 24 hours now that I've been sleeved. I took pictures of the facility and my whole trip down here. I feel so blessed to have gotten through everything without complications thusfar. They have me walking around a lot to relieve the colic, gassy feeling. They haven't given me anything to drink yet. I'm not in any kind of pain...just the discomfort from the gas. I can't wait to start losing this weight already. Oh yeah the only other pain I had was in my throat from the tube..but thats almost gone now.

I am here in TJ awaiting my surgery that's now scheduled for MONDAY!!! I have the luxury of having a mother and stepfather who live here so I will be well taken care of for sure. I will most definitely keep you all posted once I have my surgery. I can't wait to be on the losers side:biggrin2:

I've been told that my PCP or any for that matter, won't touch me here in the states after having VSG in Mexico. Is this true? also... I've been asked, "why would you have surgery and risk your life? If you just ate small portions and exercised you would lose the weight. You are just taking the easy way out. You think this is some kind of miracle surgery. You can still gain the weight back and stretch out your stomach". Sure, common sense tells you ABSOLUTELY! Why not? it's just easier said than done. I have a really hard struggle with food. It makes me happy. It fills a void. Will I turn back to my old ways after having VSG? I really hope not. That would be DEVASTATING! :crying: Sorry...I just had to vent.

I was given my pre-op diet today and I have to start it this Sunday. But that's not the part I'm excited about haha. My surgery was bumped up a day so I am actually having it one day sooner! It was scheduled for Tuesday, June 8th and now it's MONDAY THE 7TH! WOO!:scared0:. Please keep me in your prayers that everything goes well. Although I'm super excited, I can't help to be nervous and anxious. -

The worst part is...I was supposed to have VSG surgery 2 years ago but I let my dad and best friend convince me NOT to do it. I could have been thin and healthy all this time.

Your story sounds word for word like my story! I wrote my dad a letter and stated everything that I knew about VSG...I tried to answer everything that I thought he might ask...and it pretty much left him speechless. I have everyone's support now, but it was definitely not easy getting the word out to my loved ones. I wish you luck and the sooner you tell, the more relieved you will feel. It's literally like a weight lifted

So basically I will still have to learn how to have will power and self control. For some reason I thought that the surgery would still allow me to eat bad things and lose weight because you're not having so much of it. I probably should do some sort of counseling because you made an excellent point on how they do surgery on our stomach's and not our brains...and my brain is the biggest problem yet.

so I wanted to ask you...Is it hard to stay away from junk food? I am like a junk food junkie and I am very afraid of gaining the weight back. My surgery is scheduled for 6/8/10. Is the diet hard to do? Will I gain weight again? -

I am so excited/worried/anxious, etc. about my surgery! It's scheduled for 6.08.10 and I couldn't be more ready. I am 22 years old and I've been doing the same old yo-yo with going up and down in weight. My mom has been trying to convince me to do this for about 3 years now and I've finally come around. I'm ready to start living my life the way I've wanted to. I'm so tired of people saying to me, "You have such a pretty face"...like in other words saying (if only you had the body to match). I can't wait guys!
