I'm so sorry to hear that your family won't support you but, Dr. Aceves did my surgery one week ago today! He is an amazing doctor and surgeon and the hospital and the care are first rate. I have already lost 17 pounds in one week! It may be a third world country but it is the best care and the best doctors I've ever seen. I can say this with great assurance since I am a recovery room nurse. If this is what you want to do, then do it. For me it was the best decision ever! Do what you feel is in your heart.
