    Post-Op: Lemon & Hot Sauce

Hi- I had my surgery with Dr Aceves on 03/18. I have been drinking fresh squeezed lemon juice and even the bottled lemon juice in warm water each morning within a week after surgery and have had no problems. I have also been able to put hot sauce on foods with no problems either as soon as I ws able to eat solid food. I hope that helps.
  3. The Chike shakes have 28 grams of protein and they are delicious. I add them to nonfat milk which has 7 grams of protein so I get 35 grams of protein in one serving. I try to have one in the morning and one in the evening and that gives me 70 grams. Also I found that when I wasn't taking my vitamins (they are chewable) that I also felt very tired.... The Chike vanilla tastes a little like ice cream to me and I add in flavorings sometimes for taste. It's a little thick to me so I add in crushed ice and allow it to melt a little in it. Nectar's fruit protein drinks are delicious also and those have 24 grams of protein per serving I put in crystal light or propel in those. I also made egg flower soup which has lots of protein in it also. Good luck, I hope you feel better soon...

    March 2010 Sleevers

Hello all Congrats to everyone on doing so well on this journey...I was sleeved with Dr Aceves on March 18th. It will be one month for me tomorrow; 18 pounds down. Lower BMI so I assume that is why I am losing slower. However, I am losing inches like crazy...:thumbup:Have received several nice comments in regards to the weight loss so I certainly can't complain....
  5. Thanks! I am trying to adjust my attitude today, but I'm super frustrated. I am scared to eat or drink and so I am not taking my vitamins (bad choice I know.) I have just gotten so nervous about gagging or throwing up that I am not doing well getting things in.

  6. Hello how are u? Hang in there it will get better. Are you taking your vitamins?

    pureed/mushey food options

Hi and thanks for the info!
  8. Hi Tiffy. I appreciate you taking the time to help out a newbie to this process. :cursing: It has been a little over two weeks since I was sleeved and I am already receiving compliments in regards to the weight loss. I have had a few issues but I am taking it in stride as I know from reading this and other boards that the first 30 days are the hardest. Thank you for responding and yes it helps immensely. I feel better already, my blood pressure is normal. I have now adopted my new mantra of I Do...., I Do... LOVE my sleeve....:smile1: Thanks Again!
  9. Hello All- I am new to the board and I would like to say that I enjoy it very much and I am grateful for all of the helpful information received from everyone here. I was sleeved on March 19th in Mexicali with Dr A. and I am thorougly pleased so far! As I read the different boards I have been seeing terms that I am not familiar with. Could someone explain to me what "restriction" refers to? I wasn't sure if that was a lapband term until I saw it used here on this board. Does it refer somehow to the size of the Boughie for the sleeve or how much content your stomach can hold? What are the "slimies"? :drool5: What are the "foamies"?:confused1: Finally what is the "5 day pouch test"?:confused1: Thanks for any help or insight anyone can provide!:biggrin0:

    Prescription Filled?

Hi. This is my first post to the board though I have been reading and gaining helpful knowledge and information for a couple of months now. I was sleeved with Dr Aceves on March 19th of this year. I asked Lucy what Mups meant and she said that it means they are made to easily dissolve in liquid.
