Good Morning Y'all! I actually overslept this morning by a half hour! I hate it when I do that, it messes up the whole day! I finally had a good eating day yesterday after all the bad eating!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Now, I just need to do it another day! I find when I get up and eat oatmeal for Breakfast, it stays with me longer. I also put some walnuts in it. Donna - I have been meaning to tell you I just love the necklace you DH got you. It is just beautiful! (Better keep that one around) :D Sorry about his DA, my prayers are with you and his family. :girl_hug: Eileen - It is hard to get through days of our loved ones death, it gets easier in time, but it never goes away. My thoughts are with you too. Cindy - I'm glad you still have your DD to be with you on this day. It will be a tough one, just try to remember and talk about all the good times y'all had together. When I look back at the good times me and mine had, it puts a smile on my face and in my heart. I miss mine so much all the time, but the good times are taking over now and I love that part of it. :girl_hug: :girl_hug: Beanie - Hey, you just needed the rest! You can plant this weekend! It's supposed to be nice. Kat - I think about your DH all the time, wondering how he is doing. It must be awful to have that long of a time before they do the surgery. Gosh, I think it would drive me crazy! My heart goes out to both of you. I still keep y'all in my prayers too. The first time down on that trolley was awful scarey, but after that it was fun. All I could think of is if this thing lets go seeing where I would land at! Dianne - I missed it I guess, but is something wrong with your DH too? I am happy for you that you made a sale!:clap2: :clap2: Good luck and hopefully you will make a few more! Sherry - You are being a baby, blisters really hurt! Can you keep a bandaide on it? Good Morning Y'all! It sounds like everyone had a great holiday! I just love the familiy get togethers. We had a wonderful time at the lake, and it was so nice to get together with my family. Of course all we did was eat, eat, eat, and then eat some more! I don't dare get on the scale for a week! I took my camera with me, even charged the battery up, but didn't take the first picture. We were on a cliff, and they had this trolly thing that you sat in to take you down to the boats, it was really neat. Once it was busy so I took the steps (about 100) and I actually made it without dying! We were out on the boat and some big winds picked up and man, we all get drenched all the way back in! Everything in the boat was floating! It was so funny, just when one big wave would drench us, here would come another! You should have seen the people looking at us when we came up. The swelling is much better in the foot, but the hurting is not! Of course I did a lot of walking which I shouldn't have, but I couldn't help it. So hopefully the sitting at work will help today. I haven't had time to check on the Aunts, but right before we left this weekend, they put my DB in his own room, out of intensive care, so that made us all enjoy the weekend a little bit more. Thanks to all of you for the prayers/thoughts! Well, I have to get ready for work, but I'll try to check in later and do some personals.

Well the car is loaded down, and I am ready to go, just waiting on DB to get here and we'll head out together. I live traveling with other cars, just feel safer that way! Cindy - Honey I am thinking about you, the first year really is the hardest~ you will have a few rough days, I'm thinking about you! Actually the medicine he has me on is Toradol, you have to have it in a shot form before taking any of the tablets. I have to watch it closely as it can cause damage to your liver. I have to eat something with each tablet 4x a day! So, now I have a good excuse to eat! UGH! I can't take it longer than 5days. I hate taking medications like that, but I didn't have much choice if I wanted to walk again without hurting. Of course what did I do today? I smashed my two little toes on the same foot! They are fine, just sore! Call me Miss Clutz! Ok, going to get out the door and enjoy the time away. Have a great one my friends, I'll see you when I get back!

Good Morning Y'all! Happy 4th to y'all! Everyone is staying pretty stable now, so we are going to chance it and go to the lake for the weekend. We have a family group that goes every year somewhere and this year we are going to Lake Whitney. I think we all need to get away from the phones and the house for a few days! :Banane55: :Banane46: I have been making salads and packing since yesterday. I broke down and went to the doctor yesterday too!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: They took about 12 pic's of my foot, at first they thought it was a dislocation! Then when they finally let the doctor look at it he said no, that he thinks it is a soft tissue inflamation. He gave me a shot in the arse, and pills to take for 5 days. I can see a big difference in it already! Of course I haven't been on it as much, but still just walking on it and the swelling had made a big improvement! Maybe things are looking up!:clap2: :clap2: Eileen - Enjoy your time at home with your family! Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend. Everyone else enjoy yours too! Good Morning, Things are still looking better, DB had a bad spell yesterday morning, but improved again in the afternoon. I talked to my other Aunt and she and her DH are doing better. I want to thank you again for being there with your thoughts and prayers. Hugs to you all! I finally broke down and made an appointment with my doctor for my foot tomorrow. Boy, it hurts like heck no matter what I do!

Good Morning Y'all! Prayers work wonders! Thank you all so much. My DB is off the ventilator and on regular oxygen. He is eating some and talking, but in a lot of pain. They could only open up two of his arteries, so I don't know what is going to happen, but he is alive and doing better as of now. I called my Aunt's house last night, and my Uncle asked if I wanted to talk to her! I couln't believe it, I have been sitting waiting for the dreaded call. It might still happen, but for now she is eating a little which she wasn't doing at all, and she knows people again! She was so bad, she gave up on life and didn't want to live anymore. So, that made me feel better too. I know we aren't out of the woods yet, but it sure made a better night for me. Please keep them in your prayers. I am trying to keep up reading the posts, but just don't have it in me right now for all the personals, so I hope you all understand. I can't think you enough for all the kind words and encouragement you have given to me.

Thanks y'all! I haven't heard anything since yesterday, no news is good news right now. They opened up two of his blocks, but couldn't do the main one, it was like cement, so that is really bad. He is on a ventalator right now, and they might not even be able to get him off. His blood pressure is pretty low and they are giving him meds for that too. It really doesn't sound too good at the moment. Donna his name is Dick. Darcy I'm with you, didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night. Hope you are feeling better too! Thank each one of you for you prayers and kind words, I don't know what I would do without each one of you. I consider you all my family! I love you all dearly!

I just want to ask you to keep my DB in your thoughts and prayers. It isn't going too good for him right now. Thanks!

You could be, I would give it a few more days and see what happens. You might just have a little swelling, you might try liquids for a couple of days then try solids again. Good luck!

I have the small band, but shortly after I was banded my Doctor's office went with the big band on everyone. They say they have less slips/problems with the bigger band.

I chew gum all the time, it helps me not snack on foods I shouldn't be snacking on.

Welcome to LBT! The exercise just might be the only thing you'll have to do. Give it a few weeks and see!

Hi Y'all! Darcy - I had to totally laugh when I read this when we got back. We did go for a ride, we were going over to my DB house and go out to lunch with him and his wife, we got 3/4 of the way there and had to stop for gas. When we went to leave the gas station my DH bike wouldn't start, his battery was dead! We had to call DB to come and charge it so we could get home. Needless to say, we didn't get to go to lunch. But I really enjoyed the ride and it did help me to get my mind on other stuff for a while. Eileen - Hope you had some fun at the party! Pat - Yeah, we want to know if you DH got lucky! Don't sell your bike, just start riding a little bit at a time. I know when I don't ride for a long time, boy am I nervous when I get back on it. It will all come back and you will do fine! Sherry - You really do need to post those pictures! Now, get it done girl! Donna - I loved your picture! It is so neat to see pictures from other places! Patty - Hope you had a great time! You are so lucky to live so close to DL! Cindy - I love it when kids are like that, they always grow up too fast anymore, I prefer to see them take it slow and easy and enjoy their childhood! Hello Y'all! I am so far behind, I am not even going to try to catch up! I have read them though, I do try to read even when I don't post. My DB is going to have his open heart surgery on MOnday morning, yikes, that is tomorrow! I am worried about him, he has a lot of other complications to go with the surgery. My one Aunt is still alive, but not doing good, and the other Aunt (my favorite) is doing better. So, now you are updated! Thank you all for being there for me, and all the kind words you said. I can't tell you how much that means when you are feeling down. We have a family get together planned for the long weekend, cottages rented on the lake, but it is all up in the air now depending on how everything else goes. I really could use the time away, but if it's not meant to be then I guess it's not. Welcome Chris, we think a lot of Sherry too! Sherry - I know what you mean about the clothes! Every where I go, the size is different. I can't just buy something and bring it home, I have to try on everything. What happend to the days when all the sizes were the same everywhere? Heck, I wear a lot of different sizes today! :Banane48: Even shoes are getting that way in some stores! UGH! Well, my DH is yelling he is getting hungry, so I guess I best get some Breakfast on the table for him. I think we are going for a ride today, then over to my DB to visit him. (not the sick one) I'll try to check back later. I need to catch up on the whole board, I am so far behind!

I have the Harley Heritage Softail Classic, and I love it. I even had it lowered and that made a big difference, and being lowered I didn't have to have the extended kickstand because they change the kickstand when they lower the bike.

Hi Y'all, Just stopping to let y'all know I am still alive. A lot has been happening and it's been hard. I have an Aunt that is pretty bad and they don't expect her to live much longer, then an Aunt that has been though a lot this last year and just went through more surgery, hopefully she will be better now. Her DH also had surgery and he isn't doing too well. Then my DB had a heart attack and is in the hospital and he has to have surgery a triple bypass, but he also has other complications to go along with it. They don't know if he will survive the surgery. I come home and make all the phone calls to see how everyone is and by that time I am tired. I'v just had a lot on my mind lately, so please bear with me for a while. I'll try to catch up later.
