Welcome to LBT and to bandland! Good luck with your band!:biggrin1:
-
Welcome to bandland! Just remember that this is a support board and a lot of people who never have problems don't post while a lot that have had some problems do. Good Luck!

Welcome to bandland! I sure hope things go better for you now! What an experience to have your spleen nicked!

Good Morning Y'all! We are getting some badly needed rain here this morning, and it is supposed to rain all day and part of tomorrow. :clap2: :clap2: We need a good soaking rain!:phone: Kat - I was so happy to see you post, and so happy to hear things are going so much better. Wow, you might have your hands full with no coughing or sneezing. You better make sure anyone that comes to your house is not sick or has a cold. That is going to be tough during flu season! You are still in my prayers. Hugs and well wishes are being sent your way! Eileen - I feel for you girl, bad backs are no fun. I have problems too, from a ruptured disc, and it can be pure hell! What helps me most are two things, a heating pad on it all the time, and lay on my bed and lift one leg up take my hand and pull on it towards my chest, then do the other one. It hurts while you are doing it, but it also helps loosen the muscles in there. I think asprin helps me more than any muscle relaxers or drugs of any kind. I was laid up for 7 months with my back, couldn't walk or even go to the bathroom by myself. I have to still be careful of what I lift, or how I bend over to pick something up. I can be fine one minute and bend over or twist wrong and boom I can't walk. I hope you get better soon, be good to yourself and take it real easy. Cindy - Your party sounds so cool, I would never have thought of a party like that! You are so talented! :D DArcy - How are you doing since the treatment? Can you tell a difference? My foot is still bad, not quite as bad as it was, but I still can't do much. I went with DH to a car show yesterday, walked for about 10 minutes and had to go sit in the car. I don't know, if it doesn't heal up soon I might just consider the surgery so I can live a normal life. DH said I shouldn't because it would mean a long time of healing and maybe never be the same. Patty - You'll hear soon, if not call them! Don't worry if they say they never got it, you did make copies didn't you? Sherry - Did you ever get a second offer on the job? If you told us I missed it. If so, did you take it? Hey enjoy your time alone! It's nice sometimes to have a little piece and quiet!:heh: :heh: Pat - I have been wondering if you had the second opinion or not? I saw a special on the health channel and they had to do an implant for a woman on there who dropped too! Now, that would be me! Mary - I was glad to see you post! I'm so happy things are going better for you! Chrispy - Just make sure to keep a close eye on it, if it starts feeling warm or red, go back to the doctor again. Good luck! Mandy - I bet by now you have that dog spoiled rotten! What a cute daughter you have by the way! Dianne - I hope you are feeling much better now, I know how all this stuff can just zap you into a zombie. Take care and get some rest. If you need us, just know we are here.:plane: Beanie - Hey girl I hope you aren't working yourself to death! Take some me time! The hardest thing for me to learn is no matter how hard I work for a company and how much I give up for them, it really doesn't make that much difference. I give my all, but I don't kill myself doing it anymore! Love ya girl! Anne - Hope things are going ok for you, I haven't seen your smiling face on here lately! Well, I am going to go check out the rest of the board, then get some work done, but not too much since I over did it yesterday. A good book and a hot cup of tea sounds pretty good to me today! Maybe I am just dreaming huh?

QX for DR C RE: Any patient's like me??
Iluvharleys replied to Kayford's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I find that if I eat more at lunch and less at supper then I am not tight in the morning. It works for me great! I am not nearly as hungry at night doing this, so I also do less snacking too. -
Does your Dr put in a fill during surgery or does he make you wait 6weeks????
Iluvharleys replied to shell04937's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had to wait 6 wks, but that is so the band will heal/set good first. It's really worth the wait! -
I just had the Lap band procedure

Welcome to LBT! Glad you decided to come out and start posting. :D

I couldn't live without my coffee! :D They even served it to me in the hospital. I do know though that a lot of doctors don't let you have it.

Good Morning Y'all! Just stopping in to say hello before I go to work. Kat - I sure hope things are still improving! I sent an e-mail to your friend but haven't heard anything back from her. My DM always said "no news is good news" so I am believing that in the case. Hugs and prayers my friend. Mandy - Oh I love your dog. My DM and DD had one just like that and he was a sweetheart! I'm glad you found one you like so much. Eileen - How is the gal doing after her surgery? I'm sorry, I can't remember her name and I don't have time to go back to look, but I think about her a lot. Darcy - How are you liking the new vehicle? Aren't those the ones that have the great warranty, like 10 years or something? Looks like you are having some really cold weather up there too! Ugh, keep it up there, I'll send some sunshine your way! Cindy - Training is always good to learn, keeps you on your feet and the old mind working. Just ask me, I think I have learned more stuff in the last month than I did the last two years. Now, all I have to do is retain it all!:help: Beanie - Hey girl, sorry about the job, but eveything happens for a reason, and I believe something better is in store you for! Hang in there! Dianne - Sorry about all that has been put on your plate lately, hopefully things will get better for you too. Hugs! Patty - Still keeping my fingers crossed for you, hope you hear something soon! Pat - Did you go for the second opinion? I am anxious to hear! Chrispygal - How's things going? Hope you have a great day! Sherry - I have lots of cookie/cake recipes, but I don't use recipes for meals unless I get one from someone else. I will check and see what I have though and see if they are band friendly. Of course if you want some that's not, I can look for those too! :D I just do all my cooking from scratch unless I see something that sounds good, then I try it. Well I know I missed some of you, not because I want to but the clock says I have to go right now. So hi to all of you I missed and I'll catch you next time around. Have a good one and don't take in any wooden nichols today! :D

Susan, I wasn't offended at all, just wanted to let you know we can't always be here 24/7. Like Alex, I read a lot more than post because I do work during the day and by the time I get home and start reading everything I usually don't have much time to post. We all love this board too, and while it's peaceful we don't worry as much. Thanks for caring enough to ask!

I haven't read any of the posts except the one with Kat's DH. My heart goes out to you Kat, and of course we'll keep you in our prayers. I'm sorry I haven't posted, but I have had company all weekend, and just haven't got to get here. I have to hurry now, but I will catch up later.
