4th week and can eat everything in sight
Iluvharleys replied to Slate2633's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You just need a fill! Try to make good choices until you get one. You know the old saying "just because you can eat it, don't mean you should". Good Luck! -
Welcome to LBT! Congrats on your surgery date! You'll find lots of information here just for taking the time to read it all.

Hello Y'all! Gosh, I don't know where the weekend went! I was sick Friday when I got home from work, and still not feeling good on Saturday but still got things done. Sunday I cleaned house as I was feeling a little better, then we watched the game. I kinda wanted the bears to win too, but I do like both teams so I was just glad they got to the super bowl. Still not feeling up to par, but did go to work. The weekend just flew by for me! I have to say I feel sorry for you gals that live where it is that cold! I can tell you I don't miss that weather at all! Please stay warm and don't venture out in it unless you have to! Kat - Glad you made your trip nice and safe. Good luck with the guy this afternoon! Darcy - Gosh, I would be upset about that van too. Why don't you check out the lemon law on it? You might be able to make them take it back. Mandy - Awwww, sorry you are too tight. Hopefully the unfill will help you. Mary - Glad you got back to work and the DS is feeling better! Beanie - Good luck at the Doctor tomorrow! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Cass - All carbination does to me is makes me burp. Sometimes it makes me uncomfortable for a few minutes, but that's it. Hope you feel better now! Sherry - I'll take anything besides cleaning out the fish tank! You lucked out girl! Chrispy - You are very pretty, and it's so nice to put a face to your threads! Eileen - Enjoy your day off even if it is TOM! Cindy - Congrats on the WL! I hope I didn't miss anyone! Well, going to check out a few threads and then start supper! Tonight is my show, I like Prison Break, does anyone else like it? Later!

Good Morning Y'all! Now, let's make this official! TGIF! Now, it's February and Friday! Now, if this cold weather would just go away and warm come in it would make me a happy camper! I don't know about you other gals, but our electric bill went up to $500 this month because of this weather, another reason to want it to go! The Bears and Colts for the Superbowl is great! I love both teams, and it's hard to pick one. I was definately a Bears fan before I was a Colts fan, and I might be a little partial to them, but I am just happy they both are there! I use to know all the names of the players on the Bears but not anymore. We used to have a Superbowl party every year, in fact we had one last year. I am not planning to this year but who knows. I hate it that they have it on Sunday late at night. If they want Sunday, let it be in the afternoon! Although Saturday would be much better since we all work on Monday mornign. Gosh, I have already used up all my time and I haven't even said any personals. I guess I will have to catch up later! I am still in my gown, and it's almost time to leave! Gosh, I wish this was Saturday!

You'll find out along the way that your band will make all kinds of noise. You never know when it will talk to you! :)

Iluvharleys replied to SuperDaddy!'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Good luck Jon, a lot of us has walked in your shoes when it comes to eating things we shouldn't. The one good thing is when we come back, our band is waiting to help us once again. I know you will succeed! -
Hello Y'all! It's colder than a well digger's a$$ here! Man I am freezing my bunns I'll tell ya! Like everyone else, I saw this post and thought it was a Friday post and didn't look at it! Guess we all got fooled huh? I am in the middle of cooking supper, so can't play right now just wanted to stick my head in and say hello! Kat - My thoughts and prayers are with you and your friends. Darcy - I lost track of my time, so I will tell you the last I remember and it was 15, I don't know what it was if any after that! I'll take the 15 and be happy with it. I didn't do well at all this week, just didn't feel up to par. Well, going to go finish supper, and then sit on my hands, I can't get them warm. :) Later!

Banded yesterday..lots of questions
Iluvharleys replied to waitingtiljan's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are doing fine, everything you said is normal. Popcicles helped me a lot during the liquid stage, along with apple juice, water, coffee, and tea. -
How about a pot of soup? I took some jello with me one time when I was on liquids.
-
Cake? Cake again? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Please pass the Chocolate Cake!::hungry: :hungry: :hungry:
-
I didn't get mine yet! Now, I'll think about it all day long! I sure hope they don't bring cake/donuts into the office today! :)

Welcome to LBT! You are doing great now! Good luck! -
My doc said I could have a glass of wine when I was 4 weeks out. I wouldn't try anything carbinated that soon though!

All right Beanie, send me a piece right now, right now do you hear me? I can taste it, I can smell it and if you don't send me a big piece of that cake I'll smack you so hard your clothes will be outta style!:heh: :heh: :heh: Gosh, that sounds so gooooooood~ enjoy every bite of it! Ok, I thought I would post this one for you. I fixed it a few times when I was on WW, and we liked it. It's super easy to fix too! chicken Baseballs 3 oz. fat free cream cheese softened 2 tsp light margarine, melted 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp pepper 2 Tbsp chopped onion (I suggest increasing this amount) 2 cups cubed cooked chicken 1 8 oz can reduced fat crescent rolls 2 Tbsp skim milk In a blender (or by hand) combine the cream cheese, butter, salt, pepper, milk, onion and blend good. Pour mixture over chicken and stir. Separate crescent roll dough into four rectangles, and seal perforations. Spoon 1/2 cup of mixture into center of each. Pull opposite corners of dough to center and seal. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Easy and yummy, what else could you ask for? Hope you like it!

I swear, y'all don't have much to talk about today huh? You cracked me up with all the "poop" stories!:heh: :heh: :heh: Just wanted to pop in and tell you the soup was great! I ate it for lunch, took a thermos of it and licked it all back! :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: Sherry thank you for the recipe. Also, my DM had a dog that everytime she got sick he got sick. If she got a sore throat so did he. She would take him to the vet and he gave the dog the same meds! It's crazy, but true! Gotta run and cook supper!

Good Morning Y'all! I survived the weekend, but sure was tired! We didn't get home until 11:00 Saturday night from making the tamales, but they sure did turn out good! Now we all have a big supply of them in the freezer! We made both beef and pork ones. Yummy! Yesterday we had to take a bunch of stuff up to the son's place and that took half the day, then the dredded housework/laundry/supper was waiting on me when we returned. I did make up a batch of Sherry's soup, although I changed it a little too. I added a can of rotel tomatoes, some mushroons, and a potato to it. I haven't tasted it yet, but I am taking a mug of it for lunch today. It sure smelled good cooking all day in the crock pot. Eileen - Happy belated anniversary! Glad you had a good time.:clap2: :clap2: Darcy girl - you are sure busting butt with that exercise. Hope you lose big on that scale today! Anne - Good luck on your first day today! Let us know how it all goes! Dianne - It sounds like you have your head in the right place! Good for you! Kat - Whoooo Hooo! Opps didn't mean to yell so loud, but I couln't help myself! Good for you the scale is moving again!:clap2: :clap2: Sherry - So what did you end up cooking yesterday? Hope you feel better today! Chrispy - Awwww, hope you start feeling better! Mandy - How is the foot surgery going? Hopefully you are not hurting and getting better! Cindy - Have you worn a path to the post office yet? :D Beanie - How was the birthday? Hope you had a great one! Well, time to get moving and get ready for work! Hello to all of you I missed, hope y'all have a great day!
-
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEANIE!" Hope you have a great one!

Good Morning Y'all! Just sticking my head in to say hello! I used up all my time this morning putting a roast in the crockpot for supper tonight. I just didn't want to have to come home and cook again! I don't know if I will make it here tomorrow or not, going to my DB to make some tamales after I do my running in the morning. Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning Y'all! Kat - Your story is so sad, it also reminds me of my nephew. He was only 16, out riding around with some friends. He was in the backseat of the car and the kid driving hit one of those steel poles at the corner with the long line attaced to it. Anyway, it came through the back window and got him in the neck. It severed his brain stem. He was in the hospital for months, hooked up to so many machines that you couldn't hardly get near the bed. He lost so much weight he was just bones. They finally sent him to a nursing home to die, said they couldn't do any more for him. The nursing home started working with him alot and he came around. He has his own home, but is single, he walks with a limp and he has a real hard time with his memory. He tried working, but the memory just didn't help with it, so he is on disability, but can still drive a car. He will never be the same person again, but he is alive. It seems funny that just in our small group the three of us have similiar family accidents. My heart goes out to both of you, I know how hard it is to go through something like this. I'll try to get back here tonight, I was looking at the main board and the time got away from me. I'm not even dressed or my hair isn't done and I only have a little time to do it all in. Have a great day!

It's only normal to be nervous, excited and everything else you are feeling. Good Luck!
