Hi Lucky, and congratulations on your loss. Betty

Bright you look beautiful. It is so great to see the side-by-side pictures. Betty

I love reading your posts, and you have done an awsome job. Betty

Well, I put a call into the Doctor's office to see how much they are charging for self pay. I sure hope he has come down on his prices like some of them. I had to leave a message for the Insurance Depaprtment to call me back. I bet it won't happen today, since it is so late already. After I talk to them about that, then I guess it will be time for an appointment. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Betty

Called the Doctor's Office

Maybe you should try calling back again. It took me a while before I could get a hold of a real person. Good Luck! Betty -
any one has heard from Rica since she came to Texas. I was wondering how her trip and appointment went. Also how her knee was doing. Betty

I don't think I have ever seen those before, where did you buy them and who makes them? Betty

Happy Birthday and what a great gift! Betty

Who is your Doctor? Did he give you any materials to read or anything? Betty

Sure we will take you for a ride! You will have to ride on my DH bike, because I customized mine and I don't have a back seat! But, he loves to take people for a ride. Betty

Called the Doctor's Office
Iluvharleys replied to Iluvharleys's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
New Update: I finally got a hold of a person at Dr. Provost's office. She said they send out the applications and when they get them back and check out all insurance etc. then they will call me. I told her I would be a self pay so insurance wouldn't be involved. I ask her how long after they got the application back would it be before I could get in to see him. She said with self pay, right away. I told her I called already and left my name etc. but hadn't gotten anything, so she ask my name and when I gave it to her she told me it was going out today. So, maybe now I will get the ball rolling. Terri - Thanks for the information, and yes I have heard that the surgeons are good there, and much cheaper. I just want to find somone in the states, so I won't have to travel for my aftercare. I am not sure if the Doctor I am going to see is the one I will pick, I really have to feel comfortable with him. I think that is important. I know he is a good Doctor as I have done a lot of background checking on him. Betty -
For some reason, I don't think they would notice the napkin! lol Betty:rolleyes

I wish I could have met you while you were here. We ride our Harleys down to Waxahachie sometimes. Did you get a fill while your doc was here? Love your y'all! Betty

I'll give you some of mine! Betty

I'm going to be nice on that coment. Although it is very HARD! Betty

You know the saying "Everything is bigger in Texas"! lol Betty

Marie - You are "crazy"! You make me laugh even at the things I know were embarrasing for you. I bet no one even noticed your shirt, but I know you felt they did. One time I spilled a strawberry drink all over a dressy white blouse and had to walk through this big fancy place. I felt awful, and that time everyone was looking at me. I will never forget it! Betty

Leatha - I am sorry you have to go through another surgery, but happy to hear you aren't waiting any longer. It really is best to get it out asap. I saw what my sister in law went through, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Please keep us posted. Betty

Hey Thresa - I have one of those "Dumbers" too! lol This morning it was raining and the t.v. said flood warnings. I told him to make sure he takes the top off the drain so that the pool doesn't flood again. When I came to work, the streets were flooded worse than I have seen in a long time, so called him at work and ask him if he did it. Nope! So now he is headed home to do it. Marie - Yikes! That does not sound like fun to me. I don"t want that part of the band. lol I hope you are feeling better today. Slow, small bites! See, I am practicing. Darcy - Wow! That is a great loss. I love it that you can wear your ring now too. You must be feeling great! I can't wait to get there. Betty
-
But, I get more exercise while I am washing it. And just holding it up gives me good exercise too! lol:D
-
You don't have to worry about any cones on your bike, with all the riding you have done you have that bike trained to do what you want it to! lol I can't remember the last time I rode a bike, maybe in the 80's! Yikes! Now that is a long time ago. Betty

We go for a ride with the Harley chapter once in a while, but mostly we go out in the country and ride by ourselves. We take some short trips, last couple have been to Marble Falls for the weekend. That is about 200 miles from us, and that is far enough for me! I do have my leather jacket with fringe, and my boots (they are black with red flames that change colors in the sun) and some harley shirts. I have a couple of harley hats, one say "Harley Girl" and the other one says "Harley Girls Rule." I am not into that hard stuff though, and I am not into Sturgis or Daytona. A lot of the girls go from here, but I am not one! You would have to buy me a seat with fresh air blowing out all the time! lol After so long I start to get chapped and that is not for me! With some experience behind you, it will be a breeze for you. I didn't have any experience at all, I didn't even know how to start one! Now I just put my fat bod up there and ride with the best of them. I do not go over 70 mph though, that is fast enough for me! I would rather cruize, my DH would rather speed. When he yells at me to catch up to him, I just ignore him. He can either slow down or just leave me, but I am not going to go faster when I don't feel comfortable with it. He has been riding most of his life, and he isn't scared of going over 100 on one. Enough rambling! Betty
