I was just hoping when they took out your fill that the pain would be a little less for you. How long will it take to find out the results? Yup, time for the pity party to begin. We need to all do something special for ourselves today:D I don't know what though, nothing could be quite as special as a trip to Vegas to meet all our buddies:D
-
Miss Darcy - How are you this morning? Has it helped by having the fill removed? Has some of the pain subsided? I hope you heal up fast:D Please keep us posted:D
-
Wow, now that is really using your time. The scale really can be a problem with some people. By the way, I have a lot of stuff that needs to be done if you run out of things to do there:D
-
Lisa - Sorry you are having such a hard time. Maybe he just had a really bad day or something. Maybe he just doesn't understand that we still have to eat as a normal person, just less of it. Maybe he is so unhappy with himself right now, and he is taking it out on you. I think I would sit him down and talk to him about how things really are. Tell him the reason you went with the band is because you can eat like a normal person. You have been losing weight, and maybe that is a threat to him also, and he just doesn't want to admit it. I hope you get things straighted out, if you need to talk to me, I am here.

So happy to hear you are home and the problem has been found. Now, we just have to get you well! I know you are worn out, good to see you going to bed and getting some rest. Maybe tomorrow you will be much better. Hugs!
-
I feel all the same things you do, but mostly excited. I will be happy when it gets here.
-
Congradulations! I will be getting my band soon too. Keep us posted on your progress.

Lisa - Congratulations! Great loss! It has been fun, and you both have done great. Now, what was it the person that lost the contest had to do:D
-
Becky - That's funny, my DH eats fast and eats a lot too, only he is thin except for his beer belly:D My DH has never said a word about my weight either, but I know he would be proud if I lost too. He will be very supportive. When I quit smoking back in 1992, if it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't have made it. We talk about it a lot, I know he is worried too, he doesn't want anything to happen to me either. He is worried about what will he eat while I am not able to cook the big meals:D He use to cook before we met, but hasn't for a long time. I laughed and told him I would fix some stuff before I go and he would just have to warm it up:D I think he is VERY spoiled.

Hi Becky - I am glad you are getting better and able to eat a little more. Hopefully it will all be good from now on. If not, we will have to send you up there with Darcy for a 23 hour thingy! lol As far as I know I go Tuesday and get all the instructions and pay everything of course (that is probably what the whole visit is for) and then on Monday I will have my surgery. I am very antsy, I just want to get the whole thing over with. I wish I could take a trip so I could forget it. I know it will be here before I know it, I am just ready! I think about it all the time, and I read everything I can on it. I have gotten everything I need for afterwards (I hope) so I am about as ready as I can get. My husband comes home once in a while with some news he heard, like yesterday he said I heard on the radio today that 1 in 50 people are dying with WLS. I told him that was "the bad one" not the one I am having. I guess he must be thinking about it too. lol Thanks for thinking about me!
-
Right on, 7:00 I'll have my glass ready!
-
Becky - Update us on your problems too. Are you feeling better?
-
Darcy - I hope you are back home sometime today with good news. Please post when you get home and let us know how you are doing.

I have been waiting all morning for the Doctor's Office to call me with the exact date, but I am still waiting. UGH! Soooooo.........I guess I will tell you about it. Yesterday was my visit, and I absolutely loved Dr. Provost and his whole office. I was there for 2 1/2 hours and could have been longer if I wanted to. They took time with me, they didn't rush me or anything. I saw the device that would be going in me, and we talked about hospitals and food too. I met with the dietitian, the billing director and the head nurse. Each person came into my room one at at ime and sat until I didn't have any more questions. I was told so much info, I can't even remember it all. Anyway my SURGERY will either be October 18 or 28th . They are trying to do the October 18 so that is why I am waiting on the call. I am anxious, excited, and nervous. I want to thank each of you for all your help and encouragement. I have visited many boards since I have been searching the surgery, and I can tell you that none even compare to this one. Thanks again! Betty

Alright! I am so happy for you! Lots of worry for "nuttin" huh? I am doing the happy dance for you, I know you were so dissappointed. Now, you can start making your plans. I too would write on my belly "LAPBAND ONLY":D -
Thanks, I don't think I am ready to put my bike away, but I probably will anyway. We usually ride most of the year here in Texas. This year I will just take it easy. lol I hope you are getting your ducks all in a row and will be right behind me. Keep me posted!

Welcome, and good luck. Betty

Terri - You will love Dr. Provost and his whole staff. I had a great experience while I was there the first time. I have to go back for my pre-op next Tuesday, so I will post and let you know how that went. He is a very busy doctor, but he is one of the best. I am really glad I chose him.

Darcy - I am sorry you have to go, but happy that you will finally get some answers. I hate to hear you are feeling so bad. Maybe in just a day you will feel so much better. I will be thinking about you, take care!

People aren't there to look at your house, or your yard. They are coming to party, so don't worry, if it was clean, it would be dirty 15 minutes after everyone gets there anyway! Relax and rest up a little, you will need your beauty sleep. -
Lisa - Hopefully this time they can figure out what is going on with you! I can only tell you this, I had a staff infection in my elbow one time. I barely brushed it against the wall at college, and it got huge, and it was hot, and it throbbed. I would imagine it is a germ that gets inside and sets it up. Usually antibiotics cures it. Hope that helps a little, but I know there are some of the nurses here that can explain it much better than me.
-
Little Miss Darcy - Call them back right now! Tell them you need to know something or you are going to eat and drink. They sure do forget to call back alot. Honestly, I would pick up that phone and call. Becky - I am glad you are feeling somewhat better. Hopefully it will all get better soon. Let me know what the Doctor say Darcy when you call him right away:D
