Hi Blossom, Yes, I went back Monday, but didn't stay the whole day, and today I only stayed till noon. I don't want to push myself too much. If I start feeling week, or something I tell them I have to go. Next week will be a lot better I think.

Whoooo Hoooo Becky! Me a superwoman???? Are you talking about me????? Now, that is the funniest thing I ever heard! ROFLMAO -
Good Luck to you! That one day of liquids isn't bad at all, that is what I had to do too. Let us know when you are up to it how your surgery went.
-
Good Luck to you. I was exactly like you, felt so full it was hard to take a couple of drinks of anything. Now that the swelling has gone down, I can drink normal. Each day gets a little better. Keep us posted.

I think the music at a funeral is the worse thing, it always upsets everyone. I remember my Grandmother's funeral like it was yesterday. Everything was going well until three older ladies (her friends) got up and sang. It tore everyone up! My son acutally sang at my Mom and Dad's funeral, he sang a song he wrote for each one. It was a tear jerker, but also very special. I am glad to hear the worse part is over for you. I will send you hugs and prayers that when you talk to the doctor tomorrow you have good news. Have a safe trips home! Hopefully you can get some well deserved rest.

Exercise makes you smaller, not lighter

Congrats! Isn't it wonderful how something like that boosts our ego? I love your attitude about not caring if they will be too big next year! -
My surgery WAS scheduled for tomorrow
Iluvharleys replied to Lainie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You certainly don't want any problems along with the surgery, so be happy that your surgeon rescheduled. It really is in your best interest, even if it is a dissapointment for you. You will need all your energy for the healing process. -
Ryan - Good luck with your test. They sure are keeping you on pins and needles. Find out everything you can though, I didn't know about my Hiatal Hernia until I was in surgery.
-
Denise - I found that chap stick at the hospital really helped me. I also took some listerine strips to take some of the dryness out of my mouth.
-
Thanks Teresa! I am doing better each day. I am looking forward to Thursday though when I go to the doctor and get something else to eat. I am getting tired of the same stuff everyday, and once in a while, I actually hear my stomach growling. I guess that means I am healing huh? lol

Gosh, I just saw your picture you posted Lisa, I don't know how I missed that one. I always love a good Harley picture. It is always so cool when we go for a ride with our chapter, the roar coming down the street is awsome. They had about 35 bikes on the last one, and it was so cool. Great Picture! -

My DH is riding his bike and I can't! Booo Hoooo! But my doctor told me no riding until you are totally healed. I am willing to heal first, I don't want any problems! I miss it though, and I have pouted a few times Exercise today: 20 minutes on the treadmill, I went to work today so I didn't get much more than that done. I came home a few hours early too. -
Off topic: Anyone test their blood glucose at home?
Iluvharleys replied to claraluz's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Nancy - The ultra dosen't take a whole drop of blood. It is so small you won't believe it. Try it, when you see that blood stick the strip up to it, the strip sucks it in like a straw, you don't have to drop the blood on the strip. It's a fancy damn machine! I don't know about some of the newer models out now, but the Ultra use to be the best! -
Lots of people losing lots of weight around here... could it be the band? Betty, you're freaking me out. Maybe you're an alien cause this all seems so easy for you! Lisa - That's what they call a liquid diet! lol I'm sure it will stop as soon as I am allowed some food!

Welcome aboard! You will find tons of information on the boards, and also from these great ladies.

Nancy - Some of those monitors take such a small spot of blood, are you getting any at all? Some monitors require a part that you need to take it in the arm/leg. What kind of monitor do you have? I am fimilar with some of them as I was a supervisor at a diabetic supply company. I might be able to help you a little if you tell me what kind you have. -
Sending you tons of good luck!

My thoughts and prayers are with you Rica. Please keep us posted on you Dad.
