I use straws all the time and I don't have any problems. Just try it and see how it works for you!

Protein is the best thing, then maybe some fruit if you can eat it. If you are on solids, then have a salad.

I always get some restriction after a fill, but usually it goes away in a week or two. After I had a 5/6 fills, it held for me for over a year.

Good Morning Y'all! Wow, how nice it is to be able to come and post this morning. My company has left and I have my house back again. I can come in and turn on lights in the morning and have my coffee all by myself again. I love my company, but I have had enough the last few weeks to want some R&R for a few now. It's been hard working and entertaining at the same time. I haven't had a chance to read all the post yet, and I won't even try to catch up on all of them. I did get an email from Beanie saying she was fine, so I was glad about that. Thanks Mandy for getting her to respond to us! I need to get back on the program and get my exercising done. With the pool flooding, then me cutting my heal so bad, I haven't done anything except cook and clean. The pool is back to normal so now I don't have any excuses. Kat - I don't know the whole story on the trailer, but I think I would like the red much better than the purple. I love purple, but I would pick the red on a trailer. Hope your ankle is better today. Mandy - I have to go back to read, but I hope your surgery goes well for you. Cindy - What's up girl? You sound very busy! Hello to the rest of you I missed, I'll catch back up soon. Hello Y'all! I still have company, so not enough time in the days to get on here. I work, then cook, then clena, then it starts all over again. I think they are leaving tomorrow, or maybe tuesday, so things might get back to normal. I sure hope so. I still haven't read any of the thread, but I will get back to it. I am going to try to make some bbq chicken today. I haven't had a charcoal grill for so long, and I make really good chicken on one, so I went to the store and just bought a cheap one to cook some on. I have been hungry for some and it just doesn't taste as good on the gas grill or the smoker. I am washing clothes, cleaning house and trying to make things for dinner. I'll catch you all later!

Just because you can, don't mean you should. I sure wouldn't chance it! I went the full four weeks to let my band heal properly. I would tell my doctor if I were you and let him make the final decision.

Good Morning Y'all! Sorry I have been MIA for a while, I haven't read any of the posts so I don't know anything that has been going on. My computer was down for a few days, then I had 3 different sets of company staying here. One would leave and the next one would come. I just haven't had the time or energy to get on here and check it out. I still have one set here and I'm not sure when they are leaving. I think it might be this weekend though. I hope you are all fine and dandy. I promise I will go back and read the posts as soon as I can. By the time I get home from work, get the cooking all done and the kitchen cleaned up, visit for a short time, I hit the bed. I'll be glad to get my life back in order and come back to visit with my friends. I miss you and think about you all the time. Well, got to run and get my shower taken before the crew gets up. It's Friday the 13th, I sure hope it's a good one for everyone. We are expecting some nasty storms here today. I don't know if it will ever quit raining here, we only have had a few days without rain. Everything is pretty and green though, but I want some sunshine! Later!

Good Morning Y'all! I don't have time for personals this a.m., but wanted to stop and say hello. I don't think I will ever get this pool up and running if it doesn't stop raining. It is close to being empty, if the rain will hold off for today. It is supposed to rain though and it just keeps filling up. There is a lot of mud in the bottom. UGH! I don't think I am going to make it before my company comes on Wednesday though. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Gott run and get dressed!

Welcome to LBT and congrats on the surgery date! My doctor didn't have me do a pre-op diet. Don't worry, just follow what your surgeon tells you, each surgeon has different rules. Good Luck!

My doctor was all for it and gave me the name of the surgeon he preferred. Don't be afraid, just make an appointment and tell him about it.

Hello Y'all! We are out doing some work, so just a quickie here. It looks like it is going to storm any minute now and I want to get some flowers in the pots before it does. Eileen - We used to do the settle then sweep stuff, but it takes about 4-6 weeks to get it back pretty, so now we just drain it and re-fill it and it's done in a few days. We do it ourselves, so the only thing it costs is the Water to re-fill it and last time it cost about $50 so I would rather do that than not be able to use the pool for so long. Besides, we are having company Wednesday, then again on the weekend, and we really need to pool to be ready to use. Mandy - Have fun at the party! Kat - Hope yours turns out well too! Cindy - You look great just the way you are! I only get Wednesday off, but I am going to try and make up a bunch of stuff on Tuesday night, then put the meat etc. in the smoker so it won't be so much cooking. If I can get the salads done the day before, then it will be great. Well going to run and get some more done before the rain hits again. Later!

I use mostly chicken thighs now, they go down so much better than the breast does. Thanks for the great ideas!

Hello Y'all! Well so far the sun has been out most of the day! But storms are brewing again. I am hoping to get the pool emptied out this weekend and getting it filled back up again. Of course it couldn't happen when it wasn't a holiday. I have people coming in next week and I sit here with a muddy pool. It was the perfect temperature too! Kat - Your ex sounds a lot like my ex! What an a$$ he was. I left him and things went from pure hell to wonderful! I am glad you got out when you did! Diane - Sorry about your sister, but everyone is right when they say she needs to mourn this just to put it behind her. She'll be just fine after she does that.
