Wow Ryan, I can't believe you got a fill at 4 weeks out! Usually you are just starting to eat some real food at that point. How much fill did you get?

Congrats to you! There really is not that much pain, at least it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The fills are no pain at all! Nothing! You have some time to read some posts and prepare! -
Marie - that was a good one! Here's another one! FROM THE DESK 0F S. CLAUS I regret to inform you that, effective immediately, I will no longer serve the states of Georgia, Florida, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, and Arkansas on Christmas Eve. Due to the overwhelming current population of the earth, my contract was renegotiated by North American Fairies and Elves Local 209. As part of the new and better contract I also get longer breaks for milk and Cookies so keep that in mind. However, I'm certain that your children will be in good hands with your local replacement, who happens to be my third cousin, Bubba Joe Claus. His side of the family is from the South Pole. He shares my goal of delivering toys to all the good boys and girls; however, there are a few differences between us: 1. There is no danger of the Grinch stealing your presents from Bubba Joe Claus because he has a gun rack on his sleigh and a bumper sticker that reads, "These toys insured by Smith and Wesson". 2. Instead of milk and cookies, Bubba Joe Claus prefers that children leave an RC Cola and pork rinds [or a moon pie] on the fireplace. And Bubba Joe Claus doesn't smoke a pipe. He dips a little snuff though, so please have an empty spit can handy. 3. Bubba Joe Claus' sleigh is pulled by floppy-eared, flyin' coon dogs instead of reindeer. I made the mistake of loaning him a couple of my reindeer one time, and Blitzen's head now overlooks Bubba Joe Claus' fireplace. 4. You won't hear, "On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen" when Bubba Joe Claus arrives. Instead, you'll hear, "On Earnhardt, Andretti, on Elliott and Petty 5. "Ho, Ho, Ho!" has been replaced by "Yee Haw!" You also are likely to hear Bubba Joe Claus' elves respond, "I her'd dat!" 6. As required by Southern highway laws, Bubba Joe Claus' sleigh does have a Yosemite Sam safety triangle on the back with the words, "Back Off". . 7. The usual Christmas movie classics such as "Miracle on 34th Street" and "It's a Wonderful Life" will not be shown in your negotiated viewing area. Instead, you'll see "Boss Hogg Saves Christmas" and " Smokey and the Bandit IV" featuring Burt Reynolds as Bubba Joe Claus and dozens of state patrol cars crashing into each other. And Finally, 8. Bubba Joe Claus doesn't wear a belt. If I were you, I'd make sure your wife and kids turn the other way when he bends over to put presents under the tree. Sincerely yours, Santa Claus

I have to tell you this book is worth the wait. It is a really good book and covers everything. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It would especially be a great book for anyone considering or just gone through surgery. It has a lot of valuable information in it.

Lisa said she wouldn't be around much because it is the time of year for her to be selling Mary Kay. She has a lot of parties etc.

That sounds so beautiful! Snow is beautiful especially when it just snows. I remember those -30 degrees well! I think I would die if I had to go through them now though! lol I too freeze all the time now. I have a blanket by my chair and cover up every night while watching t.v. Marie I laughed when you said that about your feet, I do the same thing to my hubby. He is like an oven, and I put everything I have cold against him. Darcy - I can relate to a lot of that! It is 25 this morning and I am bundled up as good as I can. I got rid of all my big winter coats when I moved here. We just don't have enough cold weather to store that kind of clothes. I will be glad when it is gone!
-
Vera what a beautiful family you have! Thank you for sharing them with us!
-
Thanks Marie! I guess mine would be covered since the Doctor ordered it for BP and family Heart disease.

Just stopped at the mailbox and my book is here! I haven't looked at it yet, but I got it!
-
Michelle - I am glad to hear you are doing better. Are you still able to eat the solids?

Welcome Theresa! It is nice that you and your sister will doing your journey together. There is a lot of information on these boards, please go back and read some of the older posts. Please keep up posted on your progress. -
It's funny, when I lived up north, it didn't affect me this way, at least not until it got way below 0 degrees. But now, I don't have the clothing that I had back there for keeping warm, and the houses aren't near as insulated as they are up there. I think since I have lost weight, I have lost a lot of my insulation too, and now I am always cold. I certainly don't miss that stepping outside and my nostrils freezing, or my cheeks red from the cold. I don't miss stepping outside and falling because there was ice under that spot. I don't miss 6 months of cold weather. Nope, I don't miss it at all. I will deal with the storms etc. but send me back my warm weather! lol Isn't it funny how we each like the different climates? I never thought I could get use to the really hot weather, but now I can't take the cold. Go figure! ~c~ I hope you don't feeze too bad!

I got two answers from the book e-mail. Both of them said they shipped my book last week and I should receive it any day. I will be watching for it and will let know when I get mine.
-
I had my first fill the 8th and I don't have the restriction either. You have the larger band, I would have thought they would have added a lot more to yours.

Welcome to bandland Jen! Please keep us posted of your progress.
