You guys couldn't handle all of us women!
-
Paula - I didn't even get on the scale yesterday, I was just too sick. I go to the Doctor on Thursday so I will see then. I probably didn't lose anything, I usually don't. When I had the flu my hubby said how much weight did you lose, you didn't eat anything? Not much! Lately I have lost more inches than pounds I think!

4 1/2 mths down, 2 weeks to go!!! Need Advice
Iluvharleys replied to Sweetness's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Get some popcicles, they saved me! Don't buy too much of the liquid things, I bought a lot thinking I could eat normal, and you really can't eat much at one time. Take a pillow to hold over your belly for the ride home, it will help. You sound like you are well prepared. Good luck and keep us posted on your journey! -
My doctor wiped something on mine, and I didn't feel a thing! It was over before I knew it!

Good Luck Tammy! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! -
Welcome to bandland! I'm glad to hear you are doing well! How did your surgery go? Give us some of the details!

Welcome to bandland! Broth is the juice you get from cooking meat like beef or chicken. We can buy it here in the can or carton. Jello, hot tea, and protein drinks are all good for you.

What would perfect follow up care look like?
Iluvharleys replied to MeganA's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
No charge for the fills, just an office visit! lol -
Yes, I had my bike lowered and had an easy pull clutch put on it also. I am a shortie! lol I special ordered my bags and seat and other fringe stuff so that my bike would look different than the hubbies. I also wanted it to look "girlie". Our bikes are just alike except for the bags/trim. He likes to add all the crome on his, and I like all the fringe on mine. He wants to take a picture of me going down the road, he was behind me Sunday when we went riding and he said "you should see all the fringe flying!" lol Michelle - I am pretty sure it was food poisioning, I had the flu a few weeks ago, and it wasn't anything like that! I was a real sick puppy! I was feeling great until I ate, then all hell broke loose.

Beautiful pictures! I love seeing everyones pictures. Thanks for sharing! -
Becky - I wear them too! I can't stand the underwires, they hurt!

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. We went riding that day, it was 74 degrees and beautiful. We stopped at a place and had lunch which was a big mistake! I ended up with food poisioning and was sick all night and all day yesterday. Hopefully today will be a better day. Thanks again!

Congrats! Job well done!

Brighteyes, 01-11, You Get Your Band!
Iluvharleys replied to New Hope's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Good Luck! Please post and let us know how you are doing when you can. -
You are perfectly normal, you are wide open right now and will be till you get a fill. This is a time for healing, not losing. Please take your time healing. There are several articles concerning the same thing, go do a search on it and you will learn lots about it. Sometimes it takes more than one fill before you tell a difference. I had one fill, but still don't have the restriction.

TracieD, Band Reserved for you 01/11/05
Iluvharleys replied to New Hope's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You will be fine Tracie, just remember to let us know how you are doing when you are able to. You wouldn't be normal if you weren't nervous, but you will be done before you know it. -
Awwww thanks y'all! Ya really know how to make a person feel good! The truth is I just bought those pants about a month ago and they were tight on me. I didn't realize how big they look till I saw those pictures. I don't live in the wilderness, I actually live in the city, but in a great neighborhood with lots of trees. Yes Paula, I am 30 years old! Lisa - The flames on my shoes change color in the bright light or sun. In the inside they are dark red, when I get in a bright light they change to bright red. It is really cool how they do it. I'm afraid my coat is going to have to do me at least another year, at least this year I can wear heavy sweat shirts etc. under it. My hubby just got those two tops for me for Christmas, it is the first time he has been able to buy me anything to wear for a long time. Thanks again!

I should have asked sooner...

Greg, you are crazy! -
here are some more: I thought I could say something on them, but it won't let me. The one showing the shoes I wanted to say they are dark red stripes, but when you go in the sun the stripes turn bright red. They are cool. One of them I am holding my chaps up to show you, it is too warm for them today.
