I posted Monday no weight loss, then today I had a doctor's appointment. When they weighed me I had lost 3 pounds. I came home and checked the scales, and I HAD lost 3 pounds! It amazes me how that happens!

Leatha that is great! I can't wait till I get to that point. I have pretty well emptied my closet out, but thank goodness Becky sent me some things of hers! You have done so well, you deserve a new wardrobe! Just remember to take some pictures and model that stuff for us!

What a fantastic job! Please post more about your success with the band, it is always such an inspiration to those of us following you.

Cream soups are great, refired beans can be thinned with salsa. You can blend almost anything and make a liquid out of it. Just think of it as anything you can get through a straw can be eaten. I had mashed potatoes/gravy and it tasted so good. Once you are past that liquid stage, it is much easier!

Whoooo Hooooo Marie! Now that is a great NSV! I do the same thing, blush or bust out laughing. I just can't keep a straight face. lol I had to move my watch band over a notch. So, I guess that is a NSV too!

You know Lisa, that actually is the best I have seen it look through this whole mess. I don't see any infection around it at all! I know right now it looks big, but that will heal up pretty fast with the infection all gone. Hang in there, the light at the end of the tunnel is finally in sight! Thanks Penni! You are a great nurse!

Actually it looks good compared to what I thought it might look like. Did he put you on antibiotics? I bet now that it is done right, it will heal up pretty fast. You won't know how to act all healed up. lol

It sounds to me like Penni IS your angel! Now all you have to do is listen to her! lol I have my pencil and paper ready! Lisa - please let us know how it goes today when you go back to the doctor. What are we going to do now with TWO ladies drooling over the same doctor????

Greg - I am at a standstill too, but I don't have the restriction. Congrats on the inches though! No loss/no gain for me!

Well you just answered my questions I put on the other thread! That is great news that it wasn't a rejection! It's too bad you didn't get to Dr. Billy sooner! I know you are going through a lot right now, and healing is going to take it's time, but at least now you know that you will not lose your band, and you even will have the opportunity to get a new port. I think that is great news! It's just so terrible that you had to be put through all this when it wasn't necessary! It shocks me that no one did the culture! Usually that is the first thing that they do, especially with an open wound like you had. And, leaving things inside you, you could have really had big problems with that one! I truely believe everything happens for a reason, maybe it happened this time to save your life! At least now, you can start putting all this mess behind you and look to the future.

Glad you are home in your own bed, just that alone makes you feel a little better. Sorry you are going through so many problems. Get well soon!
