    My DH is T-Bone.

I couldn't push mine, I know that for a fact!

    Finally

Fran - Glad you got that problem solved. My doctor has me do liquids the day of the fill only. He stresses back to solids the next day, however, many doctors have their patients do liquids for longer periods of time. You might want to check with him and see what he advises. This band will work! Congradulations on your weight loss!
  3. Brenda - I was just wondering how you are doing today? Please keep us posted!

    The hardest part?

Not drinking with my meals was the hardest thing for me to do. I have been able to do it though it is still hard for me. I try to not have any drink beside me when I am eating or an hour after. If anything at all is sitting next to me, I will automatically grab it and drink it without thinking. It takes some work, but you will be able to do it. I find that if I drink a large glass of water right before eating, it helps me alot.

A little positive energy my way please!

Glad to hear all that work paid off!

    I don't enjoy eating

Nancy - I was doing the same diet that you were on previous to my banding. I lost 20 pounds with it, but then never lost another pound. I went back to my old way of eating once I got the band. I decided to just watch the portion sizes of the foods and eat like a normal person would. I usually don't eat rice or bread. I do eat potatoes occasionally, just not every day. I try to eat more veggies than starches, but like I said, I don't eliminate them from my diet. I think once you tell yourself you can't have something, you want it even more. I allow myself anything, but most of the time I don't want it. I know if I didn't have to cook for my husband, I probably wouldn't go through cooking much at all. Maybe that is part of your problem, eating alone. Make your food look appetizing, and real pretty. Go to the trouble of putting out pretty napkins or a nice placemat, or put a fresh flower in a vase in front of you.

    Happy Valentine's Day!

I missed this post, so I hope everyone had a great day!

    i'm scared!

I agree, I would take the weight loss over the loose skin anyday. I can't tell you how much better I feel with the weight I have lost already, and I know it will only get better. If I have to deal with the skin later, I will, but right now, I am only worried about getting off this extra weight.

At what CC do you feel full?

Kim - I am at 2cc and still can't just eat 1/2 cup of food. I really don't have a lot of restriction yet either. Did your fill yesterday feel different for you?

    Happy Valentines Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day I have noticed lately that I see my DH looking at me more, and asking me to go places more. (of course that might be because I didn't enjoy going many places before) I find him buying me presents more often, and for no reason which makes them even more special. He compliments me more often, and tells me how good I am looking. He holds out his arm for me to take all the time now when we are walking. And the sex..................well, that goes without saying. The smile he gives me when I catch him looking...............PRICELESS!
