Everyone loses weight differently, some slower and some faster. I lost 54 pounds the first 4 months. You might be out of those by summer, so wear them while you can. I have went through so many different sizes in 4 months, all I do is dig though my closets looking for stuff to wear. Make sure you try them on often. Good Luck with your surgery, and post and let us know how you are doing when you can. -

Jamie - I know how you feel, I felt the same way. The last two weeks really do go by faster than you think. You'll be saying "hurry up and get here" and the next thing you'll be saying wow, it's tomorrow! I just couldn't wait till my day got here. I can hear the excitememt in your posts! You have waited llong enough for this, so I hope the time flies by for you! -

I'm from Texas too! Mine took about 5-6 weeks, but it really depends on who your doctor is and how busy he is. I was a self pay, so I got in alot faster than the insurance people did.

Congradulations! Just try to eat low carb, and get some walking in if you can. I am really happy for you! I have heard lots of positive things about Dr. Ortiz! Keep us posted. -

My husband never knew my weight until I went for the band, The day before surgery I told him. He has always been supportive of me regardless of my weight. -
