Paula you look beautiful! You need to wear more outfits like that one!
-
We went Harley riding Saturday, we went over to spend my gift certificate that I won. We had to get up on some of the big highways, so that meant going fast. Well, lately my Harley shirts have gotten pretty loose on me, but since they are so expensive, I keep wearing them. Well, we were riding up on Loop 12, and my shirt started coming up my back. I used my cb radio and told my hubby my shirt was coming up my back, and he ask if I wanted to stop, and I said no, I don't think it will hurt for someone to see my back a little. Well, the next thing I knew my shirt was up to my neck, (front and back) and the only thing that was holding it on at all was my arms Now, I used my radio to call and tell him yes, I needed to stop because I was showing everything I had to everyone! One guy was actually flashing his lights at me! My DH said "Don't worry, you have on a black bra and it looks like a sport bra, so just relax till we can find an exit" Yeah right! Anyway, we finally got to an exit and pulled off and needless to say I tucked my shirt in my pants! I have never been one to wear my shirt tucked in, but I certainly wore it that way the rest of the time we were riding.

Need help with this fill!!!
Iluvharleys replied to Jammin & Losin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I agree, then if you still have problems, maybe you need to have a tiny bit unfilled. -
I am down 4 pounds this week!
-
Mine wasn't bad either, and I agree with Leatha, the more walking you do the faster you feel better.

Hi! New member ready to walk the plank.
Iluvharleys replied to wavetimer's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Each person seems to heal differently. I would say no longer than 2 weeks, but maybe sooner if you heal faster. My doctor told me I could ride my Harley after 2 weeks, so fishing and golfing is definately in that range. Just go by how you are feeling, if you are up to it, give it a try. Get your food/drinks in now before you go so you won't have to worry about it when you come home. Use a heating pad for any gas pains in the shoulder and don't forget that walking helps more than anything else does. Showers only until you totally heal up (no baths or swimming pool) Good luck with your surgery and post when you can and let us know how you did. -
Good for you Darcey! It's always nice to have someone notice you have lost weight.
-
Suzy - I think we all go through all those feelings. Take some time and browse through all the new and older posts and you will see what most people go through. There is a lot of information on this board, and a lot of support too. It actually took me about a year before I gave in, I actually thought I could do it with diet too. I could lose weight, I just couldn't keep off the weight I lost, and I would always gain more weight back than I lost. Good luck, and please keep us posted on what you decide to do.

Sue hopefully it just turned a little bit and they will be able to give you the fill at the hospital. You have done a great job with your band! Let us know how things go! Good Luck!

First fill and wondering.......
Iluvharleys replied to mistybreezes's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Misty - Every doctor has his own rules, and it is best to follow what your doctor tells you. I only have to do liquids the rest of the day after the fill, then back to solids the next day. But, like I said, please follow your own doctors rules. -

Welcome Terri! Your day will be here before you know it. Keep browsing through all the new and older posts, lots of valuable information there for the taking. I was a self pay too, so it went really fast for me. Make a list of foods/juices you will need and get them in the house before your surgery. Just don't buy too much, you will not need as many as you think you will! Have fun at your wedding! By the way, what kind of racing are you into?

You have done a great job with your band. I love your pictures, you need to go to the thread before and after pictures and post yours!

I'll bump a thread about it for you

I didn't start losing my hair till I was 4 months out. After 2 months it started growing back in. It's just a temporary thing.

Great, good luck with the move!
