Thanks Y'all! I had a great day! DH and I went for a long ride on the harleys, then all of my neighbors came over and we had a big BBQ. I had loads of fun, drank a few too many drinks, but really had a great day!

I had a pm from Paula, she was headed to a safer place, a friends house about 30 miles from her house. I told her she could come here if she wanted to. Nance is at her brothers, it took her about 18 hours to get there, but she is safe. Marie is in Loftin, I think the storm is headed that way! I haven't heard about Ginny. I filled up with gas yesterday, I also went to the store. I must say that people had big carts and flatbeds full of Water. They were buying blankets/sheets/pillows too, along with lots of batteries. I know they are saying some gas stations are closing for lack of gas.

Thanks Y'all! Pat - I'm not hiding out, I have been doing a lot of studying lately. I have tried to keep up reading threads, just haven't had the time to post to all of them. I also went on Vacation last week, so I wasn't home much then. I didn't find out until I got to Illinois that my favorite Aunt was in the hospital on life support. Each day I call to see how she is doing. So, it has been a hectic time for me lately. I have to tell y'all about the b-day card my DH got for me. It was really cute! It says: Happy Birthday to a wife who still has a girlish figure...... ...from a husband who still has boyish ideas! It has this gal on the front in a red dress with lots of curves! (now if I only looked like that) I thought that was so cool!

Except for my immediate family, I am a closet banster. About a month ago, I told my neighbor, only because she is going to get it done and I thought I might be of some help to her. I am glad I haven't said anything to anyone else for all the same reasons you stated. I honestly didn't want to deal with all the questions, and also I didn't want for people to ask why I hadn't lost weight faster. I think each person has to make up their minds what is best for them. I haven't regreted being a closet banster for one moment. Good Luck in whatever you decide.

What beautiful children you all have! Paula, you look just like your Mother, you are both very beautiful ladies!

I will be leaving Friday and won't be back until Wednesday. My brother/wife and husband/me are going to go visit some of the family I haven't seen in a VERY LONG time. I am really looking forward to seeing them again. Just thought I would let y'all know!

I know you are going through the most difficult time of your life. I lost my Mom and Dad 10 days apart from each other, and I thought my world was going to end. I still get tears in my eyes everytime I think about it. It took me about 3 years before I could talk about them without crying. My heart goes out to you, I wish I could hold your hand and tell you it does get easier, it just takes some time. Pretty soon, you can start remembering the good times you had with her, and they will become pretty special to you. Your day will come, just take a little time to heal from all this. My Mom always use to tell me "Good things come to those who wait", and I am a true believer in that. Hugs, and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Now, your Mom can be your Angel watching over you during your surgery.
