Happy Thanksgiving! Today is also my anniversary! We were supposed to go to my DB today, but yesterday my niece had to be taken in for emergency surgery and they found a cyst on her overy had bursted, and her apendix also had to be taken out. So, we have postponed it till tomorrow. So, the meal I was going to fix tomorrow I am making today! Are you totally confused yet? My turkey is in the oven as we speak, and I have been preparing stuff to take to DB the last few days, so it won't be too bad. Eileen - Love your NSV! Don't work too hard cleaning up today, you did enough work yesterday! Snow, just the sound of that makes me cold! I love Jim Reeves too! Beanie - Hey that big turkey just gives you lots of leftovers to snack on. I love turkey sandwiches! Ira - Maybe you could post some of those Indian recipes! They sure sound yummy! Zan - How is your day going? Cindy - How is you G'ma doing today? Patty - Hope your time with your Mom is great! I miss mine so much, especially at holidays. Pat - Great weight loss! And you were so worried about that little band It would be good to see what your doctor has to say about the bands. Keep us posted. I too am happy I found all you guys/gals. I feel like I know some of you that I haven't even met. I loved meeting the gals I got to meet. Thank each of you for being a part of my life. I hope we continue to keep in touch forever. Hi y'all! Well got back from doing the billing, then started some of my preparations for tomorrow. I got all my onions diced, my corn bread made, my chicken is cooking along with some baked beans. I am getting ready to make some pies. The rest will be done tomorrow. I had a great time last night at our dinner. I will tell you more about it later. I will say I had tons of compliments on my weight loss from a few that hadn't seen me for a while. I loved every minute of it too! Eileen - you definately get a jump o things don't you? Sounds like you have been really busy! Cindy - Sorry about your G'ma, my thoughts are with you. Enjoy dinner out for a change, you deserve a break from cooking right now anyway. Patty - Sounds like you will have a great visit with your Mom. Zan - Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Enjoy your visit and have a safe one too. Beanie - CHRISTMAS??????? No way! I don't even want to think about that day yet! Hey girl, have a great Thanksgiving! We always go to a place (Mexican) called Crossroads in Tucson. It used to be very good, had to eat there a couple of times while we were there. If you get a chance check it out. It is real Mexican food, not the make believe stuff. (At least it was a few years ago) There Chimi's are great! Lisa - Congrats on your surgery date! That's right around the corner, so start getting ready! Pat - How's the cookies going? Now, remember you have to report which cookies were the best ones! I just might want the recipe! Ira - what is planned for your day? Well, gotta go check the beans!

I thought of the same thing after reading your post Michelle. I wonder on some of the other boards how many might be from US. This might be something to look into. It just makes me want to cry everytime I hear of someone who loses their band.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that maybe the 7 days will help you out. Good Luck!

Michelle thank you for staying with us, I for one really need you on here, you have always been such an inspiration to me. You have done a great job with your band, and I know you will be able to continue without the band as well. You are welcome to call me anytime you need to talk, or my door is always open to you. Thank you for all you have done for me, you have truly been a great friend.

I lost a lot of my hair, it scared me it got so thin. Now my hair is back to normal. It really is just a temporary thing!

Good Morning Y'all! Well, the shopping is done! I am happy about that, I just hate it when it is so crowded! Now, on with the preparation of things. I have a dinner to go to tonight, it is a late Halloween dinner. My SIL prepares all this crazy stuff and gives it nasty names. It's good food, just yucky names for it all. She goes way out and prepares tons of stuff. She delayed it this year so her daughter could be here for one. It is a lot of fun to go to. Cindy - I hate all that stuff in the isles. You would think they could do that during the night when not as many shoppers are there. I think the other thing that drives me crazy is the people that work there cut you right off, walk right in front of you and make you stop your cart. Talk about rude! I always try to get to the stores early, early, early! I am still praying for you family, it is a very hard time to go through all of this. Hugs to you! Patty - Yes, get all the information you can, then make your decisions. Check out the doctors, the aftercare and how and when the fills are done. Check how many surgeries the doctor has done. Dig, Dig, and then Dig some more! Beanie - We miss you! We always go for long walks in the desert when we are there. I love walking out there, you just have to be careful of what you touch, kick, or what moves! lol Pat - How are the cookies coming along? I have to get mine started soon too. I am trying to wait till after Thanksgiving though, but I am fighting starting them earlier. I just want to get it over with, but I hate to have them laying around the house too! Zan - How's the fill doing? Eileen - You're late this morning! lol So, what is on your schedule for today? You are certainly using your time off wisely! Well, I'm going to go get something done around here. I need to get back into my walking. After taking that break for a week, I can't get in the mood to walk again.

Good Morning! I am getting ready to go to the store and finish my shopping for Thanksgiving. I was so frustrated Saturday that I didn't finish. I hate to be in a store and you can't even get up to the shelf you want to get things off of, and Saturday it was so crowded I just quit! We go to my DB for Thanksgiving, but I cook a lot of things to take. My DH ask me this morning if I was going to fix stuff for here too. He hates not having any leftovers. I always cook another whole dinner for home on Friday or Saturday. I think it has to be Friday now that I think about it, we'll be gone all day Saturday. We have a Harley thing to go to during the day, then dinner at my Nephew's house later on. Gosh, I am going to dinner someplace Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Man, I hate to think about the scales this week! Eileen - Thanks for the recipe, I already have some of those pans, so I won't have that problem. It sounds yummy! Send DH this way if he gets bored, I have lots of stuff he can do here! Zan - Glad to hear you finally got your fill. Hope it works great for you. Hello to all of you that haven't checked in! Good Afternoon! Been busy, cleaning and doing laundry, cooking, all that wonderful stuff Ira - I love recipes, bring them on! Eileen - I watch Food network too! Love that show, I especially love Paula, just love hearing her talk! Hey, I'd like to have that cookie recipe you talked about. I have been going through some of my recipes, I can't find a bunch of them. I guess I put them somewhere I wouldn't lose them. :cry I am not much in the mood for digging for them right now, I wanted to make a list to take to the store, but maybe later. Patty - I find it hard to get in the Christmas spirit when it is so warm too, but I am from upnorth where there was snow at Christmas. I'll keep the warm weather over the snow. I love the way they decorate a lot more with lights here. I just love all the decorations. Eileen is right, that time will go by quicker than you think. Cindy - How is your fill working for you? Beanie - Hope you have a great time in Arizona! Pat - I was going to start a thread about posting good cookie recipes, but you beat me to it. How is it going with the recipes? Awwww, sorry you have to go through this. Sometimes problems won't show up for a few days, so if you are feeling pain, you need to go have a check up. Hugs, and hope you feel much better.
