Welcome to LBT, and congrats on your upcoming surgery. There is a ton of information on here just for taking the time to read it all. It sure helps to know what to expect when you get there. Yes, there is quite a few riders on here! I love my harley and ride it a lot. Don't forget to come back and let us know how your surgery went! Good Luck!

Everyone loses weight at a different pace, so it really depends on you. We have had a lot of people on here lose a lot more than 100 pounds, and the surgery is a lot safer than the gastric surgery. If I was you, I would take a little time and read as much as possible about both surgeries, and make up your own mind. There are pros and cons on both surgeries, just do your homework and make the call yourself! Good luck!

I didn't tell anyone except my immediate family. I feel more comfortable without all the people asking me all the time how I am doing. If they just think you are dieting, they don't keep questioning you, they just ask how did you lose so much weight?

Good Morning Y'all! I stopped yesterday to get a few things at the store so I wouldn't have to go today. That way, DH can take my car in for the last item to be fixed. lol We are going out with the family for crawfish tonight, I can't wait! We always have such a good time, and I just love crawfish! I have an early jump on my chores this morning since I am not out running around! I am going to cook Breakfast and have it ready when DH gets home so I best be getting at it. It's raining and cold here today! UGH! Everyone have a great day!

I wore regular clothes in, but took a big full smock dress to wear home. You won't need much, a brush/comb, toothbrush, I took some breath mint strips (helps the dry mouth) a book, house slippers, robe. I also took a pillow for the ride home and that really helps when you hit a bump! Good Luck!

Good Morning Y'all! Running late again! By the time I read the posts, then I am late and don't get to type much. Thanks for all the kind words, they mean a lot to me. I still haven't had a chance to talk to the neighbors but I'll see them this weekend I am sure. I have a gun in my room, and I wouldn't hesitate to use it if someone was coming in on me. I never though we would have to feel this way in this neighborhood, but I guess you aren't really safe these days no matter where you live. At least I have great neighbors and they watch out for everyone. It's a law here in Texas that if they come in your house you can shoot them. I am pretty good with a gun, so I guess as long as I could get to it, I would be fine. My doors are noisey when they get opened, so I would most likely hear something when they came in unless I had the tv on or something. I am so struggling with my weight! Since the time I had to quit walking, I have been struggling. I keep gaining, then lose a little and gain again. I am at a loss for what to do. Hopefully summer will come early this year and I can start working out in the pool again. I sure need to do something! Gotta go get dressed and be out the door in 10 minutes! Later!

Good Morning Y'all! Just a short pop in before throwing on my clothes to say hello. I am a little down this morning, I lost my Uncle yesterday and I just can't get him off my mind. I haven't had a chance to talk any more with the neighbors to see if they heard any thing about the breakins. I heard every little noise last night though, and jumped at the slightest noise. It certainly woke me up a little. Gotta run, catch you later.

Just getting ready to walk out the door. What a morning! I got up at 4:45 and the police were at the neighbors house. First thing we thought about was we hope nothing happened to their girls. Well, it turns out that someone was breaking in their house. First they went to another house across the street from us and took their garage door opener from their truck. Then they went next door to us and took stuff out of their truck and their garage door opener and started coming in their garage. The gal that lives there yelled at them and they took off. Needless to say I didn't know if they got one out of DH truck or not cause he already left for work. I called and couldn't get a hold of him. I was scared to think while I was in the shower someone could come in our house and really worried to leave to go to work. Finally got a hold of him and they didn't get ours. So, now I am headed out to work a little better off for knowing someone is not just going to walk in and take what they want. Oh yeah, they dropped a little box with lights on it and the cops said it was to put up to a window, it crackes the window for them and they just go in the house. Nice to know huh? Later gals!

Hello Y'all! Just a short note to let you know I am still alive! I had the flu from Friday on and I just got home from work. I have to say I feel much better now! Pat - You look like a young teenager! Wow! I bet your DH can't keep his hands off you now! Amazing how beautiful you look and you still haven't healed all the way! Sorry I don't have time for personals right now, but I have to get supper started, and finish some chores I didn't get to while I had the flu. Good Morning Y'all! It's balmy warm here this morning, but another cold front is supposed to move in this afternoon and temps are going to drop again. Just when I am getting use to some warm weather too! I am so ready for warm weather! Sherry - Yes, we went riding Saturday, it was near 70 or in the 70's and it was a really nice ride. Like you, not much exercising being done and I can sure feel it and tell the difference. Kat - No snow riding for me! I don't even like riding when the roads are wet with rain. I was riding on wet roads once and started slowing down for a turn, hadn't even applied the brakes yet and hit an oil slick and with it rain on it, I started sliding downwards. I was lucky that time that I managed to pull it out of the slide and keep going forward. I had to go to the next road to turn and DH had already turned on that road so he didn't know what happened to me for a while, but we met up and I told him what happened. Now when it's raining I don't want to be on any bike! Mandy - I sure hope you girls get well soon! Nothing worse than being sick. Pat - Did you get the pictures taken? How are you doing now? I think about you every day! Dianne - Sorry about your Uncle! Diane - How's the fill doing today? Hopefully you will loosen up just a little bit. Jetti - You are doing great! Keep up the good work! Good Morning Y'all! It was beautiful here in Texas yesterday and I went riding on my Harley! Early start this year! I didn't get to ride much last year, seemed like it was raining every weekend or too hot. Pat - I hope you got your pictures done, I am so anxious to see the "new" you! Diane - Glad the fill is doing ok now, sometimes it just takes a few days. Proceed with caution! Tee Hee! Kat - I love it down there, we went for the first time last year and what a nice time we had. All of our neighbors went and we spent the weekend. We are going to try to do it again this year. It is so much fun! Eileen - Glad you had a nice anniversary! I don't much drink the flavored coffee but I sure like the flavored creams in my coffee/tea. Good Morning Y'all! It's foggy here this morning and cold, but it's going to be in the 70's tomorrow! I am ready for that! I just got home from grocery shopping, and we are going to go up to the Chili contest at Harley. I should have know it was today, I would have entered mine! I wouldn't have won though because Texan's don't like beans in their chili and I don't like it without beans, I guess it's just the way you are brought up. The first time I ordered chili here and it came without beans I thought the place didn't know what they were doing, little did I know that they eat it that way here. Pat - I want to see, don't forget to send some to me! I just know you are miss skinny now! Eileen - Happy Anniversary! Hope you have a great one and get everything you want! Good Morning Y'all! Still cold here in Texas and I am freezing! I hate to see my electric bill this month! We are supposed to get some freezing rain on Thursday, I sure wish it would have came on the weekend so I wouldn't have to worry about driving in it. I came from ice and snow, so that isn't a problem for me, but the folks down here aren't used to driving in that stuff and it's really hard for them to know what to do. I am so ready for summer! I'll take the heat any day over the cold! Hope all of you that are sick start feeling better! Eileen - Try taking some Aleive D cold tablets, they really work wonders!
