Great NSV! And I bet your plants look great too!

Shhhh Don't tell anybody! I had them deep fried with lots of hot spices! Mmmmmmmmmmmmm so good!
-
I didn't have any restriction until I had several fills. Wait for a while though as some fills don't kick in for 2-3 weeks. :biggrin1:
-
How cool! Congrats to her and you!
-
My chit don't stink!:heh::heh: :heh: All kiding aside, I didn't have a problem with that!:clap2: :clap2:

Paula they have entirely different tastes. Cilantro has a much stronger flavor to it.

Awwww, I'm sorry you won't have your family behind you, but if you tell them after it is all done and over with, I'll bet they will be on your side. I bet they are just worried about your safety. Just come here and we'll give you tons of support! Let us know how your appointment goes!:biggrin1:

Good Afternoon Y'all! Doc - Glad to see you here! Relax, you are among friends here, nobody will attack you here! It's a shame that anyone has to go thought that, especially the new people. Hugs to you! Pat - You and I sound alike, I have gotten to the point that I can eat a lot more, (and sometimes I do) and every time I even think about going for a tiny fill it seems like the next day I can't eat much again! Maybe that is the trick, threating to get the old girl tighter! Anyway, I don't want to go through being too tight again, so I am going to back off for a while. I have found though that the boneless chicken thighs go down much easier than any other piece does. I get big packs of them at Sam's and freeze them. Now, maybe you will start to lose with all that running and stuff with the Gkids. Aren't they cute? Especially when you can hand them back! :D Cindy - No news on the jobs, they were interviewing hundreds of people though, so I might not even get considered anymore. Darn, you would think after two interviews they would at least send you a letter letting you know though. I did get a call today to go in Monday for a different job though, and I sent out one more application for another one. So many of the jobs went to Katrina victims around here that it is really hard to find stuff anymore. Eileen - Funerals are hard for me to go to, hope it isn't too bad for you today. At least you will have some time for something else later in the day. Patty - Sorry to hear you son is sick, hopefully he will be better soon. Kelly - How are you doing with all that exercising? Can you tell a difference yet? Beanie - Hey girl, if you are going to be looking too we might have to get together and write some really outstanding stuff for each other! :D I doubt you will get laid off, who would they send out of town to do the dirty work? :biggrin1: I'll be thinking about ya though, sending those good vibes your way! Kim - Glad to see you here! Please come often! The more the merrier! Anne - How's things going for you? Sherry - How you doing ? Dianne - I hope you are feeling better! Well, going to get some work done, everyone have a great day!

Becky - So glad you are through it all and safely home!:biggrin1: Take it easy and heal back up now! I haven't had to any of the stuff you said, but there must be a reason your doctor feels that you should, so please listen to him. Good luck and keep us posted!

Not long after my surgery, my doctor's office went with all VG bands. When I ask about it, they told me there is less problems/slippage with it. It just might be the answer for you.

Gosh, old home week! Glad to see you back too! We missed you and your great advice too! :Banane20: :huggie:

AUGH!!! I need to track SOMETHING!!

I can only tell you what works for me is no diet. I tried every diet on earth before being banded and as soon as I went off it I gained twice as much back. Diets just don't work for me. As soon as you tell me I can't have something, I want it twice as bad, and if I don't eat it I will eat 100 other things to try to get what I wanted in the first place. I eat normal, just like every other human being in the world eats, I just eat smaller amounts. Some to the things that I know is really bad like ice cream, etc. I have once in a while instead of every day, and I also eat a smaller amount than I did prior to banding. I never tell myself I can't have something! Now, since I am not dieting and nothing is off limits, when I do have a treat I am not going "off" any diet. It just works for me. I don't count calories, I don't weigh, or measure any of my foods. I have hit a plateau several times since my banding, sometimes I lost inches instead of pounds, other times the scale stayed the same, but I didn't feel bad. I don't have to get to my goal weight tomorrow, I have time to get there, and I still enjoy myself along the way. I don't know if this helps you or not, but hopefully it will give you some ideas. -
Starches/Carbohydrates- whats OK?

I'm like Leatha, I eat what I want to. I haven't ate much bread since being banded, but that is by choice. I do eat pasta once in a while, and rice. I usually eat a couple bites at least of potatoes most of the time. I just fix some for DH and then I "share" a little with me!:biggrin1: -
Whoooo Hooooo! I am so happy you decided to stay!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Welcome to bandland! Yes, it is normal! Try eating some popcicles, jello, juice, protein drinks, or broth.
-
Good luck! I always say where there's a will, there's a way!
