We just let it run, the surgeon said not to worry, it was normal to run fever but to call if it went over 101.5. It is down in the mornings and comes back in the pm, Strange, lol

Thank you for replying...her recent temp was 100.5. I tried all the numbers I have and no one answered, guess I'll call the hospital. She isn't in pain and no other symptons at this point. The last 2 days she has some swelling above her eyes but that is all. Will monitor her and keep trying to reach surgeon.

I didn't have to have a preop diet at all.lol. All surgeons are so different. You'll love your sleeve. I was a big bread eater and havent wanted bread in 10 months. Good Luck with the surgery and Welcome to the forum. -

Am I lucky told I didn't need a PRE-OPT diets
cwalker replied to Guitrman's topic in Pre-op Diets and Questions
I didn't have to either, nothing by mouth after midnight was the only pre-surgery order. -
I also put my surgery out there for anyone to know, now imagine living in a small town with 2000 population so it spread pretty fast. I don't mind and have formed bonds with 4 more ladies having the surgery in our small town, BUT I did feel pressure from a "friend" to start posting pics on FB after 3 weeks and I wasnt ready to share. I have another who wants the numbers so she can tell me what she weighs and what she's lost w/o surgery.lol it just made me more determined to each goal. Hang in there, don't let em get to you!!!!!!!!!!

I was worried and took (and still do) my Vitamins every day. It was a overall thinning that wasn't that bad accoeding to my stylist. She did advise me to go shorter. I kept up the hgihlights and within 4 months it was done. Now the short new growth drives me crazy.lol I love the shorter style and at 53 it suits me much more. You'll be fine, you have a right to be scared but you'll be fine!!!!!!!!

UNBELIVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! What a witch, is she just pissed off at the world or jealous of your surgery. Show her girlfriend, make her see you will work your aleeve! -
Maybe just call your gyn and or your surgeon,it could be your body regulating itself while in ketosis or old blood but you could ask them if it's normal, Sorry I don't have much advice but I feel your pain.

where to find a support group??
cwalker replied to MommyTawnie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey There, I'm in Buna Tx. I'm about 45 minutes from Bmt Tx and 45 minutes from Lake Charles. I know I use this forum as a support group but there are others. We have 2 sleevers with 3 more coming in the next month just in our town so maybe we can get something going. The reflux does get better further out but I still have trigger foods that make me reach for PPI but I did that before surgery and the noises do settle down. When are you in chat room? -
I'm 10 months out and it's much harder to maintain than I thought it would be, I have to get myself back on track to keep the weight loss, wondering if I should lose under goal and then it would'nt bother me? Any words of wisdom?

I'm 10 months out and havent seen loss in a few months, my Surgeon would like me to lose 10 more lbs, dont think it's going to happen. I have relaxed my eating some so I know I need to lose I need to burn more than I consume and I can't seem to make up my mind whether to try. Just don't give up, you can do it, warm weather is coming and you'll be able to be more active.

cwalker replied to janinemaire's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Look how great you've done!! It doesen't hurt to sometime have a sweet, I have to say exercise was the key for me and still is. I had to walk 2 miles a day to see loss now I can walk 1 mile and stay close to where I want to be. You should be proud, just don't get discouraged, keep on keepin on! -
Well my surgeon says give it a yr before any plastic surgery. You don't say how old you are? I will say my skin has tightened up amazing, and my daughter lost 126 lbs and is 18 months out, she is 28 yrs old and doesent have wrinkles. I'm 53 and have a few but they give me character. You're health will be so much better and the quality of lifw will change for the better.
